Guy.."I'm not sure why it blew on this load... I'm not that over loaded.... My first load was stupid... It should have blown then"
Me.. I got nothing.. just shaking my head watching this shit show
AAC Walsh is on the way!
- Good protein (equal to AAC Hockley, improved over AAC Westking),
- Consistent high yield
- Excellent resistance to lodging (improved over AAC Hockley and equal to AAC Westking), and
- Short strawed, semi dwarf (1cm shorter than AAC Brandon)
Ok you genius tile guys. Would putting tile around a building ( potato shed ) help drain way water. Problem with a 60k square foot building is when it rains it’s a lot of water to displace #AgTwitter
@BDuchek We have used reglone on barley quite often, but it's usually to burn down late tillers or help with lodged areas in order to strait cut. Usually the rest of the straw is dry so just helps process those problems areas
@BDuchek We have tried reglone on oats with lots of water. Does not work well. Ended up being the last crop we harvested that year and combined still struggled with green material. I would say roundup or swathing would be a better option.
Just wondering if anybody on #AgTwitter has any experience with using Reglone on oats. Probably about 10 days away if using roundup but the canopy is grass green and full of green leaves yet. Scared that the round up won’t dry the plant material down at this time of year.

@BDuchek@BASFAgSolutions We did some last Thursday as spraying during the day wasn't an option due to wind. Did a great job even on the grasses. This would have been around midnight.
Just wondering what guys have seen spraying into the night with liberty. Do you think temp or sunlight is more important? Not saying all night but finishing a tank up in the dark kinda of thing. Hard to get anything done with the rain and wind. #AgTwitter@BASFAgSolutions
@SolickSeeds Rocking the old seed treater today as well. Going to be a long 600bu.....🤔. I might end up putting USC out of business with this set up....
@SaskFarmer12 Also peas don't like much moisture over 10" of rainfall. Fabas typically shine when you are over that. They are also resistant to aphenomyces
Thinking of growing a fifth crop on my farm. So far we grow wheat, canola, barley and peas. Thinking on adding fabas, lentils, soys, or flax. Pros / cons?
Annual moisture - 15"
Growing degree days - 1000-1350
Days frost free average - 110 days
@SaskFarmer12@AgroSteve We are also playing around with lupins but there are some hurdles there yet. Flax can be a tricky one. Great when mother nature cooperates but a bear when she doesn't.
@AgroSteve@Dane_LSF Thank you for the input. We have multiple neighbours farming flax but it's still sitting out after we have everything blown off and put in the shed.
@AgroSteve@SaskFarmer12 Fabas have similar maturity to wheat on most years and we have had great success with them over the past 15 years. Soy beans don't work for us as they need heat units and rain. Our climate will give one or the other but not both.
@SaskFarmer12 Of these options, Fabas I’d think you’d have the most success with. They fixate a lot of N & release it over a few years. Talk to @Dane_LSF for seed & tips/tricks on growing them. Wet fall you’d likely regret Flax, I’ve rarely (never) seen Soys be profitable in Central AB.
