Huge thank you to those that came along to our Numeracy at home support session today. It was great fun playing games and discussing numeracy strategies #LearningTogether#DanestoneSupport@DanestoneP
We had a busy start in P3/4! The Grinch came in and stole our classroom. He took all our Lego models and decorations, all he left behind was a bauble and few pieces of Lego! We wrote letters to ask for our things back and luckily after break time everything returned! @DanestoneP
Today P2 recounted the Nativity before designing and and creating finger puppets of those present at the first Christmas. Afterwards they built stables for shelter using different construction materials. @DanestoneP
Last week we started our leadership sessions in P6/7. It was great to hear our first pupil talk about what they enjoy as well as see how well they understand their learning! Some budding teachers in this class 📚⭐️ @DanestoneP
P3/4 have been learning all about instruction writing! We created our own paper windmills then wrote instructions for how to make them! Well done P3/4 @DanestoneP#starwriters
This week we have been learning about Diwali. It has been lovely to hear how families in our class have been celebrating it. We made some coconut squares to share in the festivities. We have also written our own instructions so we can make them again at home. @DanestoneP
P5 are very confident at uploading their work to Seesaw by themselves now! We often choose which piece of work we would like folks at home to see. 📈🧑💻@DanestoneP
Primary 1 were thrilled that @Bookbug_SBT came to visit us in school. Our P7s helped Book Bug to gift our special Book Bug bags and stayed to read us some stories 📚 ❤️ #BookWeekScotland@DanestoneP
We have been learning about the ‘Achieving’ SHANARRI indicator. We have been giving each other feedback to help improve our performance in PE and working with our buddies to write down our Danestone Diamond achievements. @DanestoneP
This week we have been discussing Black History Month. We studied Jean-Michel Basquiat and talked about the themes and style of his art. We liked how it was supposed to be messy and it was abstract. @DanestoneP#tweetbyp67
"P5s are improving at the violin! This week's lesson was about harmonics. That's when you put your pinky on a certain part of the string for a high, 'ghostly' note!" 🎻@DanestoneP
P2 is currently reading The Twits. After listening to the chapter describing Mr Twit, we have enjoyed visualising him using different materials and textures. @DanestoneP
P6/7 got to try out loose parts play this week. We made an outdoor learning charter to keep us safe, then we got to create anything we wanted. We made pirate ships, tents, beds, boats, swimming pools, obstacle courses and we even had a visitor! Super creative @DanestoneP
There is a new learning log update! We are really enjoying being able to share our learning through drawings and thinking about what we learned this week and the skills we have practised. As always, there are more details about our learning on Seesaw! @DanestoneP
Lots of fun and laughter in PE today as we built our speed and teamwork skills through playing scarecrow balance - our scarecrows did so well! @DanestoneP
