Crimson desert is great. I'm about 13 hours in and having a great time with it. It's a massive game and it has so much to do. The world feels great and lived in, the npcs all do their own thing, apart from some vendors who never move. Combat is great, I like the controls as well. They're more expensive than most games but it makes the combat a lot better. Would I like the game to explain somethings a bit better? Yes, but I can manage and figure things out. When you find and complete a puzzle in the world, it makes you feel great. It's like, witcher 3, dragons dogma, and ff16 had a love child and this is it.

I've been playing crimson desert for around 12 hours now and I've been really enjoying it. But I've now run into an issue that I cannot get passed on PS5. Which is the archery competition. @CrimsonDesert_ can you fix the AI in this section please as they fire as soon as the targets pop up, giving me no time to move the cursor, before the target has been hit by the AI. I'm sure that this is a bug, but please fix it as I cannot continue the main story until its fixed.

Game 10 0f 2026 complete Metal Eden This is a fast pace FPS in a similar way to Doom. It took around 4 hours to complete the campaign on normal on PS5. I enjoyed the game and preferred it to Doom the dark ages, which I didn't get on with at all. And I like doom games. I got this through PS+ extra, and if you have that tier and like FPS games, then I recommend it. But for the retail price and the length, I'd wait until its a bit cheaper as there isn't much replay in the game.

I saw a job posted by @Naughty_Dog the other day for a web tools programmer. And I thought, lets take a look and see what they're looking for. Now, I'm not gonna apply to it, as I live in the UK and I'd fail the technical interview as I suck at interviews and always forget simple shit. But I thought I'd test myself and see if I can make a similar tool to what the job description is asking for. So, I made a web based asset database, that I can load assets into that have different statuses, and can be viewed online, whether its a model, texture, or audio file. There is one script in Unity, that connects to the database and loads the assets it finds. You can filter out assets and also, import them to the project with a click. For what I wanted to achieve, I did it well enough. I could go down the rabbit hole and keep extending the tool, but I'm the only one that is gonna use it, so I'll go back to my other tool making. This was made with PhP, mySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C# for unity. I Uued Three.js for the web viewers & made a REST-style API for the endpoints that Unity connects to. #GameDev #IndieDev #Tools

So, the last week I've been making another unity editor tool in a new project as you do. I have finished making the tool, so I thought I'd try it out in my game project. And man, did I not want to that. The tool scans objects in scenes and prefabs, and lists out any fields that have the missing label, not empty fields but missing. It found 1417 issues, luckily most of the issues seem to be missing sprites from old UI objects in our gameplay test scene. So, I now need to go back to the tool and add in the option for batch clearing all the missing fields for different types of issues. #unitydev #unitytools #gamedev #indiedev

I finished RE9 today and man, what a game. For me, it's the best resident evil game. Perfect blend of survival and action. I'll write a better post later on, but I just had to say it's great.

@JannyWurts Thank you for writing some of the best stories. The level of thoughtfulness and meaning in very sentence is excellent. Has me rereading paragraphs to make sure I read them right. And I love how the covers of the books play into the story in some way.

Book 3 of 2026 was Traitors Knot by Janny Wurts Once again the great @JannyWurts wrote a book that is just better than 99% of fantasy stories out there. This was book 7/11 in the overall series but book 4/5 in the 3rd arc of the series. I think I've run out of things to say about this series, as it just gets better as it goes on. If you love epic fantasy stories, like me. Then you need to start reading this series. I'm onto book 8 now and once again, she is producing stand out work. I am still shocked that no one talks about this series when they do their youtube book videos about the best fantasy series ever. This is one of the best, and I've not even finished it yet. Booktubers need to do better. #FantasyBooks #BooksWorthReading
