And just like that… overnight, we’ve got an amended filing in the Sandra Birchmore case. 🩵😅 Matthew Farwell is now saying his twin brother is NOT the father of Sandra’s baby and instead points to an “unknown individual,” which is exactly what the government has stated all along after it was confirmed Matthew was not the father. Of course, the original claim in his first filing immediately caught attention, sparked headlines, and led to a wave of speculation about his brother being the father. And now, just as quickly as that claim appeared, it’s been walked back and replaced with what the government has maintained from the start. That being said, he is still clearly taking a shot at his brother by emphasizing that while he stayed in Massachusetts, Billy left the state after Sandra’s death despite also having a relationship with her, which keeps that contrast front and center even without the paternity claim. So while we still do not have public confirmation of who the father of Sandra’s baby is, what this amendment does make clear is that the defense is adjusting its position in real time, and whoever that individual is has still not been publicly identified.
