I broke up with a girl I wanted to marry after I caught her cheating on me with my own brother years back. I cut them both off and moved on with my life,no contact, no drama, just silence and healing. Today I received a wedding invitation from my brother. Guess who the bride is? My ex girlfriend. He attached a letter saying he knows he made a terrible mistake but I'm still important to him and he still wants me at his big day. My parents also got the same invite and my mom is furious. She wants to show up there and cause a scene but tbh I don't have the energy for chaos anymore. I've worked so hard to find my peace and I haven't responded to him yet. Now I'm wondering, does an invitation like that even deserve a response or should I continue giving him the same silence I've given for the past 3 years

@SovereignIM This is hilarious when you've known actual virgins whose marriages turned out miserable. And I promise you she doesn't have to sleep with other men to notice and think about other men. Getting an inexperienced woman isn't a life hack to gaining unconditional loyalty.

Almost every woman you will ever meet of all social backgrounds and intelligence levels has an inclination towards the spiritual, either because she is very clever and has a crazy dream world, or because she is very dumb and needs to explain events through unfalsifiable arguments. She will think of sex as magical, spiritual, as opening a portal, and a whole bunch of different things. It is really this simple: sexuality is sacred, and a woman who shares hers with lots of men is profaning the most sacred aspect of herself by inviting different men into her soul. A woman who has never been touched by any man but her husband is giving him something incredibly special, by honouring him before she even knew him by saving herself for him so she never knows anyone but him. For her, sex isn't about herself or her pleasure, but is the ultimate act of devotion in which she saves herself for the one man she deems truly worthy of her soul. This has been the dominant female psychology across all advanced societies for thousands of years now, as evidenced by the religions we have which have been here for just as long, and to this very day continue to advocate as such. A wife who belongs singularly and solely to the one she chose to give herself to is incredibly beautiful, and what she is offering her husband is the byproduct of discipline and intention expressed as devotion through restraint, preservation and preparation. It shows she values purity, doesn't take moral shortcuts like profiteering from her sexuality to get ahead, and inherently has outstanding spiritual hygiene. She ensures her husband only gets the best of her with no ghost/shadow memories, attachments, trauma or other forms of fragmentation and damage that are part and parcel of failed relationships and past sexual interludes with other men. She is free of "the stench" of the essence of any other man on her. When you are with her, you are not in the room with her and 13 other men. It's just you, because it has only ever been you, and can only ever be you. You are her one and only.

@Daniel06956322 @_kingwills Those are the architectural grid lines on this floor plan. Numbers 1-14 label the vertical lines (columns, left to right). Letters A-O label the horizontal lines (rows, top to bottom). They let you reference exact spots, like "wall at grid E-7" or dimensions between points.

I deleted my childhood friend’s number today because I didn’t want to see her WhatsApp status anymore. She seems to be doing well for herself, a stable business, a healthy relationship basically everything. Meanwhile, I’m on the other end, struggling with almost everything in my life, I know I shouldn't compare but deep down it keeps coming up I’m genuinely happy for her, but I can’t deny that it stings to see someone we started life together doing better. Does this make me a bad person?

Providing closure actually requires a lot of courage and integrity, because you're essentially willing to inconvenience yourself with a person's pain to do the morally right thing for them by giving clear and transparent reasons for your abandonment or rejection, knowing they won't take it well and will be hurt by what you say, but that doing so helps them process better how you're hurting them. In a way, it's saying "I am choosing myself over you, but I do care about you enough to minimise your suffering" It's knowing that you not knowing will bind you to them, and leave your brain working in overtime trying to solve the puzzle - and truly setting you free - not wanting you to be stuck like that, so providing you the answers. Even if you don't like the answers. Even if you rage and scream at them for the answers. It is the ultimate act of righteousness from someone who has chosen against you. And this is precisely why most people don't provide closure. They either lack the courage and selflessness to engage in such confrontation and be a good person to you as they leave you, or their vanity actually doesn't want you to get over them - meaning, even though they don't want you, they still want you to want them. They like knowing they could have you if they wanted, and that the only reason they don't is because they choose not to. And that is precisely the type of person you should not be with - the person who puts their own convenience and vanity above your well-being. So in a way, actually, by not providing you closure, even though it is not their intention to do you a favour - they are. They are showing you they're not the type of person you can build with.

My mum once told me a story about a woman who used to come around her office often. She was always friendly, smiling and greeting everyone. But the moment she left, people would start talking about her bad breath. One day, after the usual greetings, my mum gently pulled her aside and told her about it. The woman admitted she already knew and was really embarrassed. She said she had tried everything she could think of, but nothing worked. My mum then suggested she see a doctor. She didn’t come back for a while. When she eventually did, she came to thank my mum. She said that after seeing a doctor, she found out she had a serious internal medical condition that was causing an infection, and that was where the smell was coming from. It wasn’t her mouth at all, it was a sign that something much more serious was going on inside her body. The doctors told her that if she had waited any longer, things could have turned out very badly.

Everyone wants a fully funded PhD in Europe. Very few know that Denmark quietly offers one of the highest paid PhD packages in the world. And almost nobody tells students how to actually win it. Here’s what most applicants miss 👇 In Denmark, PhD is a full-time job, not a scholarship. You’re hired as a researcher, with: • Monthly salary €4,000+ • Paid holidays • Pension contribution • Health insurance • Family relocation benefits • Child allowance • Work-life balance that isn’t just a buzzword So why do 90% of applicants get rejected? Because they treat it like a normal PhD application. But Danish universities don’t select “top students.” They select research assets. After reviewing 200+ European PhD profiles, here’s the real selection logic: 1️⃣ Your CV is scanned for lab usefulness, not grades 2️⃣ Your proposal must solve an active problem inside the group 3️⃣ Your email is evaluated like a business pitch 4️⃣ Your references are quietly verified for research reliability 5️⃣ Interview = collaboration test, not exam Most students write long SOPs. Winning candidates write strategic research alignment documents. That’s the difference between: “I applied everywhere.” vs. “I received a Danish contract with benefits.” If Denmark is on your PhD radar this year and you want: ✔ Position-specific proposal templates ✔ Real CV shortlisting patterns ✔ Professor outreach frameworks ✔ Insider interview strategy DM me DENMARK 🇩🇰 on if you want to work with me and understand what the successful applicants are doing differently.

Yes, you can design a skyscraper as a gigantic classical column. To hide windows for aesthetics, integrate them into the fluting—recess them deeply, use tinted or one-way glass, or camouflage with stone-like patterns. This maintains the monolithic look while allowing light. Check structural feasibility with engineers for wind loads and stability. Inspiring concept!

Our Rita Waeni was twenty years old, a third-year student at JKUAT, church-going, academically sharp, deeply loved in Mukimwani, Makueni County, and dangerously fluent of trust, Nigerian monstes have learned to type politely on Instagram. Somewhere in the darkness of direct messages on IG, a monster had been persistent, unusually patient and devoted in his pursuit. She had declined him before, more than once, gently at first, then firmly, then repeatedly, until Saturday, January 13, 2024, when persuasion won. He said he was leaving the country, just wanted closure and just one meeting. He said she was beautiful. Our girl , who had survived exams, monthly crumbs, Nairobi traffic and youth fellowship meetings, did not survive that sentence. She left her aunt’s home in Syokimau carrying trust ,boarded transport to Roysambu, Nairobi, met him, spoke with him, walked with him, and together they entered Green House Apartments along TRM Drive, a short-stay rental whose business model relied heavily on cash and very lightly on questions. The man paid in cash,No ID and No name. Inside that apartment, in a bathroom Rita Waeni was strangled, then decapitated, then dismembered, methodically and patiently, The monster left with her head. What remained of her body was folded into a paper bag, abandoned in the same apartment, Her head disappeared. Her voice did not. At 5:00 a.m., while police were still assembling facts and theories, Rita’s father was already receiving ransom demands of Sh500,000, messages sent with chilling efficiency from his daughter’s own phone number. The family rushed to Mlolongo Police Station, grief running ahead of reason, and the DCI stepped in, dragging daylight into a crime that had been carefully designed for darkness. As the investigation peeled back its layers, two Nigerian nationals William Ovie Opia and Johnbull Asbor were arrested. One had an expired passport. The other claimed his had vanished, much like Rita’s head, an explanation that sounded less like coincidence . A butcher’s knife was recovered, An axe was recovered. On January 22, the two suspects were arraigned at Makadara Law Courts, where police asked for more time, The post-mortem report landed like a final insult: Rita had consumed alcohol before her death; her nails had been clipped, a small but deliberate.Later, her head was recovered from a dam in Kiambu County, water swallowing what mercy could not. On January 29, family members viewed it at City Mortuary, identifying her not by a face but by fragments of familiarity ,a forehead, a hairline, teeth the remains of a young woman now reduced to anatomical confirmation. Across the continent, law enforcement agencies have been issuing warnings for years, they speak of the underbelly of online fraud culture, the seductive lie that poverty is not just unfortunate, but sinful. Social media, ever obedient, has played its role perfectly. Timelines gleam with rented luxury, borrowed Range Rovers roaring through villages, champagne sprayed at weddings, cash thrown in churches where even the choir no longer asks questions. Young men with no visible income live like royalty, and nobody dares interrupt the miracle with curiosity. Questions are expensive, Silence is cheaper and cash pays for both. There is no dignity in being poor, only shame waiting to be escaped by any means necessary. To the young and desperate, fraud does not look criminal, It looks clever, successful and blessed. Most online scams begin with words, fake profiles, borrowed photos, rehearsed affection, manufactured urgency. But police files across several African countries speak of cases where fraud mutates into something darker, where belief systems rot into violence, where success is extracted.1/2 (continuation in comments) For best Kenyan History stories follow @timothyturunga
