Well, I learned something new: The seventh day or the resting day, has always been called Shabbat or the Sabbath. It has always meant the day of rest, since God rested on the seventh day. That got me wondering, why is the Hebrew the word for Saturn, Shabbatai? Almost as if the seventh day is the “day of Saturn” (I would see that as blasphemous) This really confused me, because naturally I thought the Hebrew name for it would pre-date the Roman “Saturn’s day”. To my surprise, it would turn out, the naming of the planet Saturn “Shabbatai”, came after (during) Roman’s rule over Judea. The Judeans, didn’t carry any correlation with the planet Saturn to the Sabbath, until being ruled by the Romans. Those views come from the era of Talmudic Judaism (first century onward) .
