We ask @7DialsPlayhouse CEO/trustees - what did you gain by removing training? Why have you refused to listen to the needs of the community you claim to support? Why are you loosing money when there have been numerous offers of help/collaboration. It is never too late.

@actoratcentre @7DialsPlayhouse @ChtyCommission No young person “should be held back from reaching their full potential, or from pursuing their interests and dream career, due to their socioeconomic background”. That's why training that's accessible AND affordable is so necessary. @7DialsPlayhouse removed it, a loss to actors.

The Actors Centre had 2163 sessions for 6870 people in 2016/17. In 2022, during COVID, Amanda Davey & @7DialsPlayhouse claimed "the model had weakened and the relevance of the organisation had significantly waned, along with member engagement and attendance" and axed training.

The decision by @7DialsPlayhouse to erase #TheActorsCentre has impacted the whole creative industry. It’s shocking that an organisation claiming to care about the Arts has in reality pursued their own vision at the expense of 1000s of artists & ignored @EquityUK & its 50k members

In the last submission to @ChtyCommission @7DialsPlayhouse talked of a "strategic plan", from 2021 to 2024 which was supposed to include a "fundraising scoping" across the life of the plan and included implementation of a fundraising strategy.
It's October 2024, not a peep...

During Covid we donated to return training, to support our #TheActorsCentre. Only for @7DialsPlayhouse to remove all training, cut ties with @EquityUK & its annual donation. It still wants our support & despite its grand claims, provides us with nothing & is selling the lease.
