The decision to shut down SN650 is seismic. Losing another major sports media voice in Vancouver is a devastating loss. That station has produced an incredible amount of talent and gave so many young voices a platform. A sad day for sports media in this city.

The #Canucks have selected defender Samuel Erikson with the 184th pick. @eliteprospects 144 Eriksson boasts a massive 6-foot-6 frame that he uses to trap and stall opponents on the outside. High panic threshold, but a raw prospect overall. Van goes for size once again.

The #Canucks have selected RW Lucian Bernát with the 176th overall pick. Heavy shooter with size (6-foot-4). Half-wall shooter on the power play. Some power and forechecking elements in his game. Not the most connected player and lacks puck skills.

The #Canucks have selected Connor Davis with the 129th overall pick. He's a re-entry pick who excelled in the USHL I didn't get to see him much this past season, but I covered him when he played in Salisbury. He builds speed well and applies tremendous pressure with his motor.

The #Canucks have selected Yaroslav Bryzgalov with the 97th overall pick. EP 85 Bryzgalov is a re-entry who broke out this year with Med Hat. Despite not being a great mover, he plays with pace and above-average sense. Very physical, but his playmaking is his best tool.
