Recently, I came across an episode of the show Big Bang Theory on Netflix where Kunal Nayyar's character uses an offensive and derogatory term to refer to the legendary Bollywood actress @MadhuriDixit. As a fan of Madhuri Dixit since childhood, I was deeply disturbed by the dialogue. I found it highly derogatory and offensive towards Indian culture and women. So I asked my lawyer to send a legal notice to Netflix, requesting that they remove the episode from their platform. It's important to hold media companies accountable for the content they distribute, and I hope that @NetflixIndia will take this matter seriously.

"It's a joke don't you get it?": No I don't get the joke of calling a woman a leprous pr*s*itu*e. 2. "It's a comedy show, why don't you understand you fool?": Comedy can be a form of entertainment that includes satire and criticism, it should never involve personal attacks or abuse. For example, if tomorrow I create a comedy show and refer a woman from your family as a leprous pro*ti*ute, you may not find it cool in all possibility. If you don't, then know other women too must be treated with respect. If you do then you need consultation because it's not a joke. 3. "Why are you getting offended?": As a member of society, I would speak up when I notice such derogatory statements. You don't decide when I must get offended. 4. "Did you wake up after 15 years?": No I believe you all slept for 15 years. I was quick to react when I noticed. 5. "Why don't you react to other social issues in India?": I have reacted to plenty of social issues and have made my reactions known. Just because of the targeted attacks if a post of mine goes viral, don't assume this to be the first reaction of my life to a social issue. PS: The last I found such an organized attack on social media was when I filed a petition to ban PFI some years ago; a time when hardly anyone knew what's PFI. Many of you barking here would still be unknown. 😀 No more time to reply to abusers and self proclaimed defenders of free speech...

@lexfridman Your so dumb. Are we REALLY defending “young minds”? Because all I see is banning things that younger people feel on a daily basis. We got kids out there who can’t talk to anyone about anything because you all take that away from schools or home in general.

Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations. The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle. Voting in polls will require verification for same reason.
