So, the Maple Leafs will be announcing SCOTT WHITE as GM once the Dallas Stars are eliminated from the playoffs or between rounds if the stars move on. John Chayka is the way for the #leafs to fool everyone, including rival clubs. It will be Mats Sundin VP / Scott White GM shortly. The @MapleLeafs are waiting for the right time to announce the hirings. #leafsforever

@TodayJays I think the bridge is burnt with the Yankees. Jays showed interest in 2022 and 2024. He might feel appreciated by that and the Jays might be one of the only teams offering longer term.

@TodayJays @SIASport I don’t think it’s 35M and 6/7 years, I think it’s upwards of 37M on a 5 year or maybe closer to 30M on a 6/7 year. Jays could offer 6 years @ $32/per (192M) and even look at deferring some of that to get the AAV into the high 20’s. Still better than 5 years/160M??

@SpringerforMVP Yes, fits now and can fit down the road. Nice versatile outfielder for now and by the time Santander is off the books, Vladdy can DH a lot more and Belli can be a solid 1st baseman. I’d go 6-7 years at the right AAV. Nice fit in the line up right now, in replacement of Tucker.

I still think the #BlueJays could still use another high-end bat. There's a major outfield need beyond '26, too. Amid all the reporting.. and all of the guesswork carefully presented as fact.. it's also important to acknowledge deals can happen that no one expects, like Giménez.

@JDBunkis I’m curious about Bellinger now. Wants years, Jays were willing to give Tucker years. Would be taking him away from Yankees. Would fit into the lineup where Tucker would have. Can play anywhere in the outfield, Varsho and Springer up next year.

Off-season isn’t finished, they’ve added good pieces and the pain of missing out on both Tucker and Bo is still fresh…. But the hope was the Jays would start next season convincingly better than last year’s team and as of today I’m not sure you can say that

I get the sentiment with Bo Bichette and I agree if he’s not in the lineup and they don’t get Tucker there will be obvious regression. However, adding Kyle Tucker provides an unbelievable LH bat that hits infront of Vladdy which is something this team has needed for 5 years.
