P5/6 celebrated the end of #BookWeekScotland with hot chocolate and marshmallows; just like the main character in our whole school book Float by @DanielMiyares. We spotted the picture in day 1 and suggested it as a possible activity. Thank you Float! @scottishbktrust

P5/6 enjoyed showing off their decorated hats at assembly this morning. Lots of creativity on display across the school. The hats reflected their enjoyment of @danielmiyares book Float which we have studied all week. @scottishbktrust

P5/6 got very creative adding design features to our paper hats for tomorrow’s assembly. They show how we feel and think when we read our whole school book Float by @DanielMiyares . We stuck with the colours from the illustrations but went wild from there! @scottishbktrust

In P6 we made paper boats followed instructions found in our #BookWeekScotland school book, Float by @DanielMiyares. The sleety day gave way to a dry late afternoon and we had a go at floating our boats in the puddles! @scottishbktrust

Inspired by the origami in our focus book ‘float,’ primary 7 have been making origami bookmarks. We have also been putting together instructions for primary 1 to follow to make their own bookmarks. @DanielMiyares #float
