California artist painted a 600-foot mural on an overpass that only comes to life when you're driving. Hit the right speed and suddenly the figures start moving. A horse runs, stretches, and turns into a bird taking flight Pretty damn cool 🤯

I'm deaf and can't hear sirens, but my Tesla FSD pulled over instantly for an ambulance. I caught it on the app screen record. This is why FSD is huge for deaf drivers: it “hears” what I can't and keeps everyone safer. 🚑🤖 #Tesla #FSD #DeafCommunity #Accessibility

TESLA: Saia operated two Tesla Semis out of Stockton, California, in the NACFE Run on Less – Messy Middle project. SAIA Tesla 1 handled shorter local routes with daily depth of discharge often below 25%. SAIA Tesla 2 averaged 456 daily miles, reached a peak of 585 miles in one day, and achieved a longest single-charge distance of 445 miles at 91% depth of discharge using dual-shift operations on routes like Stockton to Bakersfield with 750 kW charging from 20% to 80% in 45 minutes. The Tesla Semis ranked as top performers, with NACFE Executive Director Mike Roeth stating Tesla and Windrose “knocked it out of the park.”

Georgia has just suspended its state gas tax. I'm calling on California lawmakers to do the same immediately. This would save our drivers 61 cents per gallon.

The media is running a story today about how a Cybertruck “allegedly” crashed on a Texas highway. Spoiler alert, the crash happened while the human driver was in control. The law firm, which is seeking $1 million, says that last summer Justine Saint Amour was driving her Cybertruck with Autopilot engaged. There’s just one problem — Autopilot is a legacy lane keeping system that never shipped on Cybertruck. The driver then admits that before the crash they disengaged the system and started driving manually. Indeed, the video shows the truck starting to turn before the driver disengaged and drove into the wall. Tesla hasn’t officially responded to the lawsuit yet, but available telemetry indicates the driver probably wasn’t paying attention, got startled, and crashed. There doesn’t seem to be any attempt to steer back towards the on-ramp in the video, rather you see the trajectory change from turning with the ramp to driving straight into it. When you crash your car, people tend to put blame on anyone but themselves. A high profile company like Tesla, with a CEO who is the wealthiest man on Earth? Yeah, they kinds of BS lawsuits happen often. Let’s wait for more data and discovery to take place, but based on the evidence i’m seeing so far that doesn’t look like something FSD — even an older V13 — would do.

BREAKING: The U.S. Government has officially announced that @Tesla and LG Energy have signed an agreement to ‌build a $4.3 billion lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cell manufacturing factory in Lansing, Michigan, with a 2027 start of production. "American-made cells will power Tesla's Megapack 3 energy storage systems produced in Houston, creating a robust domestic battery supply chain," the U.S. Department of the Interior said in a statement. Here's everything you need to know about Tesla's new Megablock, the latest in the company's industrial storage product lineup, which includes the new Megapack version 3: Megablock: • 23% faster to install with up to 40% lower construction costs • Plug and play platform (hardware, software and services) delivered as one all from Tesla. It's a pre-engineered medium-voltage block that integrates next-gen Megapack 3 • Eliminated above ground cabling between the transformer and the megapacks using new flexible busbar assembly • 91% MV round trip efficiency • 20 MWh of usable AC energy • Operates in temps of -40°C (-40°F) to 60°C (140°F) • 248 MWh per acre • 25-year life & >10,000 cycles • With Megablock, Tesla is targeting to commission 1GWh in 20 business days, equivalent to bringing power to 400,000 homes in less than month Megapack 3: • Will be manufactured in Tesla's upcoming Houston Megafactory starting in late 2026. 50 GWh annual manufacturing capacity when fully ramped. • 5 MWh of usable AC energy • Weight: 86,000 lbs • 28 foot long enclosure that can be shipped globally • Optimized for up to 8-hour applications • New drastically simplified thermal bay. Uses Model Y heat pump, but on steroids. 78% fewer connections, which minimizes failure points • Larger battery module and larger battery cell • 2.8 liter battery cell, co-engineered with Tesla's cell team • LFP battery • Operates in -40°C to 60° • Went from 24 cable connections in Megapack version 2XL, down to 3 simple busbar connections • 75% of the mass of Megapack 3 is battery cells. • A single module in it weighs as much as a Cybertruck • Tesla has enabled easier front access service, so there are no roof penetrations • Drastically simplified bussing system

Look, if you're just whining about high gas prices without context, save it. The whole country’s feeling pain from the Iran conflict spiking crude. National averages are climbing fast but California’s getting absolutely hammered for reasons way beyond geopolitics. We’re talking stacked-on state burdens no one else deals with: excise tax at ~61¢/gallon (nation’s highest), underground storage fees, sales tax add-ons, boutique CARB fuel blends that cost more to make, plus cap-and-invest (formerly cap-and-trade) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard compliance pushing another 50–100¢+ effective per gallon depending on the quarter. That layers on $1.00–$1.50/gallon in pure California extras—compare that to New York’s state excise at just ~24¢/gallon. Right now (mid-March 2026), NY averages around $3.58/gallon while California’s hovering at $5.36–$5.48 (AAA data), sometimes pushing $5.50+ in SoCal spots. Roads? NY’s infrastructure is notoriously rough—top-tier pothole complaints, brutal winter damage, lagging repairs but their pumps stay way cheaper. Funny how skipping extreme “green” mandates keeps costs down. Nationally, blame shared: politicians (both parties) who let Big Oil squash early EVs like the GM EV1 back in the '90s, Detroit’s obsession with gas guzzlers that trap people at the pump, and policies under every administration that never fully fixed refinery fragility or global supply. Trump didn’t magically solve it either. But California? We’re done being hostages. EVs are the payback. At ~22¢/kWh residential rates, a full 60–70 kWh charge runs $13–$15 about $0.04–$0.06 per mile. Gas at $5–$6/gallon? That’s $0.15–$0.20+/mile easy. Range anxiety’s basically gone for daily drivers, Tesla’s owning the market here, and the state’s finally breaking free from oil dinosaurs and legacy auto resistance. Teslalifornia’s leading the way ⚡🚗. Time to ditch the pump, Kevin. Your gas vehicle era is toast. Adapt or get left behind. 😏

Gavin Newsom is suddenly very concerned about gas prices. Yet he said nothing as his policies caused prices in California to soar higher than any state. We're paying 57 cents more than second-place Hawaii and have resorted to importing gasoline from the Bahamas.

Yeah, “good explanation” if you're cherry-picking to ignore reality. California's gas prices crush everyone because of sky-high state-specific piles-ons: ~61¢/gallon excise tax (highest in the nation), plus cap-and-trade (~20-35¢ effective), Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS adding 30-65¢ depending on compliance), boutique CARB blends, and underground storage fees. Total state taxes/fees often push $1.00–$1.50/gallon in extras that no other state matches. New York? Their state excise is only ~24¢/gallon that is barely a third of CA's core tax. Yet NY gas averages ~$3.66/gallon right now while California's sitting at $5.54/gallon (AAA data, mid-March 2026). Spare me the “taxes are high everywhere” line; NY's property taxes fund schools and services, but they don't force ultra-expensive green mandates that inflate refinery costs here. And roads? Sure, New York ranks top 5 for poor conditions (30%+ in poor shape per recent reports), with NYC pothole complaints spiking 30%+ this year after brutal winters so thousands of 311 reports, people shredding tires on the same craters because fixes lag. Yet their gas stays way cheaper. Funny how that works when you skip the layered “clean air” rules that jack up fuel production here. So who to blame? Blame the politicians (on both sides nationally) who let Big Oil kill early EVs like the GM EV1 in the '90s. Blame legacy Detroit for pushing unreliable gas guzzlers that keep people chained to pumps. Trump-era policies didn't magically fix global supply or refinery economics either. High prices hit nationwide under both parties. But here in California? EVs are the revenge tour. Home charging costs laugh at $5–6/gallon gas. Average residential electricity runs ~22¢/kWh, so a full charge (say 60-70 kWh) is $13–$15, equating to ~$0.04–$0.06/mile vs. $0.15–$0.20+/mile on gas at current prices. Tesla's dominating, range anxiety is dead for most, and the state's leading the charge against gas dinosaurs and Detroit holdouts. Teslalifornia forever! ⚡🚗 Go buy an EV already, Jamie. Your gas-guzzling days are numbered so suck it up. 😏
