@RFupdates He died for whosoever believes.
Jesus did die for everyone buy only those who receive Gods free gift receive it by faith.
ephesians 2:8-9 kjv
Did Jesus mean what he said?
Mat 5:17-19 “Do not think that I came to destroy the LAW or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For truly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or part of a letter will disappear from the LAW, until ALL THINGS are accomplished.
Therefore, whoever will break one of THESE LEAST COMMANDMENTS, and teach others to do so, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever will DO AND TEACH THEM will be called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven.
@PeterSilliman Since I have answered everyone of your questions at least answer me this, why do you reject salvation by faith alone? ephesians 2:8-9 kjv
I think you have been sold a counterfeit gosp3l. Y people who have twisted Paul's words.
I have tried to show you that by quoting Jesus himself.
But, even the fact that your theory of salvation contradicts Jesus own words hasn't shaken your conviction..
I honestly dont know what to do with someone who believes in Jesus but thinks actually hearing and obeying Jesus is a bad thing to do.
@PeterSilliman ? A free ticket? as "easy believism"??
No It cost God a GREAT deal, his only begotten son
That was not easy he paid it all.
To say that is easy believism or a "free ticket" is blasphemous Jesus even said eternal life is a FREE GIFT that you reject ephesians 2:8-9 kjv
@DanielSimp37987 Ah, so your "believing in Jesus is a free ticket to heaven for anyone who says "i believe in Jesus?."
Its no wonder that you don't like Jesus actual words.
This is very illustrative for people to see this.
@PeterSilliman ?? what If a person believes in Jesus Christ by faith they are eternally saved has nothing to do with "agreeing with Jesus over certain topics example pro-choice pro-life Salvation is VERY simple and you have yet to receive your Revelation
@PeterSilliman You may not realise this but that is all you do - preach the law - you preach against faith in Christ.
The real question is: Does Jesus require obedience as the basis of eternal life, or does He require faith?
@DanielSimp37987 I didn't say anything in my post about "salvation by law," only you have.
Jesus, preached to prostitutes. Did they remain prostitutes after Jesus spoke to them about the gospel?
@PeterSilliman No you do not.
Once a person believes by faith they do not need to obey Christ at all if the choose not to.
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
@PeterSilliman A person onve they become a believer by faith they do not need to obey anything if they do not want to, a person could continue being an escort girl, a theif, a liar etc and still be saved. If you think you must obey the law as justification you are reject Christ through works
@DanielSimp37987 I have said plenty of times that we are forgiven and saved by God as a gift, and that Forgivness and salvation can not be earned.
Do believers obey the rest of Jesus instructions if they "believe in Jesus?"
This was the original post, 99% Jesus words....
that you obviously disagree with.
@PeterSilliman You're avoiding the question. Jesus never said, "Obey the Law of Moses to receive eternal life." He repeatedly said, believe in Him. If you make obedience to the Law a requirement for salvation, you've replaced faith with works.
@DanielSimp37987 I asked if Jesus meant what he said in Mathew 5?
I dont believe Jesus said here to keep the law to earn your salvation..
I think we should obey all that jesus said, especially if we call ourselves "Christians."
@DanielSimp37987 So, pick a few verses and believe those, but if I believe the rest of what Jesus said, and actually do it, I am not believing in Jesus?
@PeterSilliman You rarely quote scripture, what are you talking about. My post is filled with scripture backing up what i am saying, yours is feelings based.
If you keep rejecting Jesus Christ you are going to hell
you will burn forever, I'm trying to get through to you salvation is a free gift
@DanielSimp37987 I literally quoted Jesus and asked if he meant what he said.
You appear to think Jesus was incorrect, and believers in Jesus should NOT do what Jesus said to do.
