If Christ Died for All, Why Isn't There Universal Salvation?

Did Jesus mean what he said? Mat 5:17-19 “Do not think that I came to destroy the LAW or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For truly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or part of a letter will disappear from the LAW, until ALL THINGS are accomplished. I think you have been sold a counterfeit gosp3l. Y people who have twisted Paul's words. I have tried to show you that by quoting Jesus himself. But, even the fact that your theory of salvation contradicts Jesus own words hasn't shaken your conviction.. I honestly dont know what to do with someone who believes in Jesus but thinks actually hearing and obeying Jesus is a bad thing to do.

@PeterSilliman You may not realise this but that is all you do - preach the law - you preach against faith in Christ. The real question is: Does Jesus require obedience as the basis of eternal life, or does He require faith?

@DanielSimp37987 I didn't say anything in my post about "salvation by law," only you have. Jesus, preached to prostitutes. Did they remain prostitutes after Jesus spoke to them about the gospel?

@PeterSilliman No you do not. Once a person believes by faith they do not need to obey Christ at all if the choose not to. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

@PeterSilliman A person onve they become a believer by faith they do not need to obey anything if they do not want to, a person could continue being an escort girl, a theif, a liar etc and still be saved. If you think you must obey the law as justification you are reject Christ through works

@DanielSimp37987 I have said plenty of times that we are forgiven and saved by God as a gift, and that Forgivness and salvation can not be earned. Do believers obey the rest of Jesus instructions if they "believe in Jesus?"

@PeterSilliman You're avoiding the question. Jesus never said, "Obey the Law of Moses to receive eternal life." He repeatedly said, believe in Him. If you make obedience to the Law a requirement for salvation, you've replaced faith with works.

@DanielSimp37987 I asked if Jesus meant what he said in Mathew 5? I dont believe Jesus said here to keep the law to earn your salvation.. I think we should obey all that jesus said, especially if we call ourselves "Christians."

@PeterSilliman You rarely quote scripture, what are you talking about. My post is filled with scripture backing up what i am saying, yours is feelings based. If you keep rejecting Jesus Christ you are going to hell you will burn forever, I'm trying to get through to you salvation is a free gift
