I’m actually a fraud 🤣 Think I had most the players tonight but after attempting to hit streak 2 earlier I only had 2 attempts left. Also the bonuses are making decisions hard as I’m going with them instead of the better players 😅 We go again! Attempt 1 🗑️

@LeicesterFosse First 100 euros I did only golds, this time I did only silvers. Got a couple fewer stars but managed to get incredible depth across all 3 leagues and dupe stars discard for 10k essence which helps for collections. All my stars got 5% collection bonus now

@DanielToftMusic What are you mostly spending on, silver or gold packs? I've tried a few silvers and got nothing of value just yet..

@MikeOfPompey Was F2P last set and almost hit the 100 usd twice. This set i wanted some fun and bought players for 200 and we will see how that works out. I have a lot of fun just opening the packs and collecting them so i have won already tbh

Time will tell, cant really compete for me as a SR/U player where im able to hit a 10k+ jackpot in one line up, but maybe as an alternative to lower scarcities? Im not sure. I think people will struggle to hit the target because 480 is tough and if you pick up some gems and end up with no return that might discourage users and bring them back to pro where you at least have your in season players for the entire season and you can use your "premium" players in future seasons as well. 🤷‍♂️

@DanielToftMusic The Freeze set are still there I think. Personally I’m not sure they should be. You get to keep cool cards and the game is insanely fun, and all for £100 a set or even free if you want, what am I playing Pro for?? Is it the beginning of the end for Pro?

As someone who is an upper scarcity player I never thought I would be excited about a F2P @Sorare product, but they really cooked up something great and fun with sets. And here I am finding myself spending money to chase the high of collecting rare edition cards. 10/10 🧑‍🍳

As I mostly just play SR+ now I might view it a bit differently than the average user as I could win 10k+ in with a single line there which is a lot more exciting than the F2P to me at least. Also most of the time when I buy a card it’s with the intention to keep it for the duration of their career. I rarely sell except rewards I don’t care for. For me I just think that it is a limited time game mode where you have your players for a couple of months, but if you buy a classic Yamal you can hopefully use him for years and years to come. I think it’s nice to have a low barrier of entry game like this where you are able to get star players and fun collectibles without having to spend 10000s. I think Nico said he would do and AMA in April for Sorare27 and the poll he did had classic utility as the top priority thing. Not sure how it will transfer, but maybe this is some sort of test they do for data about next season. I haven’t even looked at the MLS and J League leaderboards and I understood not everyone were happy with the direction they took it.

I'm not too worried. But I think it's important to maintain a differentiation. And they really need to improve aspects of the Pro game an collecting environment. It really is totally bonkers that in many key ways the free game is better than the paid game (although admittedly I think most people are spending a bit on gems). I think this was the problem they had with Rivals. In the end it wasn't funnelling because it was more playable and, sometimes, insanely, more remunerative than Pro. I think they've made the same mistake here. My timeline is full of pro players stepping down or charging in with a load of gold and silver packs rather than new players asking about Pro and excited to step up.

@riversorare @Sorare I’m not worried about that personally 🤷‍♂️ I don’t see how this effect pro, after the set these cards are merely collectibles

I have to say its brilliantly done. But are you not a bit worried they are devaluing Pro? I’m currently holding back all spending because Pro is too hard and Sets is too fun. I dont really want to buy into MLS because of the cost and the split of leaderboard and streaks; I honestly don’t see how I’m going to win. Am just selling any Classic rewards to save up for next European season. In terms of gaming managing our the European season, ongoing Classic and Sets is more than enough. Next year maybe I just play Classic and Sets. Is that their intention? And they dont seem to want to do anything for Classic collectors and frankly the sets cards are better to look at. So although I will hold my Classic collection forever I dont see much point in adding to it right now. Wait and see what 2027 looks like. They seem to be going all in on free to play modes and Gems.
