My dad died when I was 20. My uncle took over the logistics company.
First thing he said: “You’re too young. Go do deliveries. Real business is for men.”
So I did deliveries for 4 years. 12-hour days. Rain, heat, 3 AM runs.
Meanwhile my cousin got the office job. AC, laptop, “operations manager” on his LinkedIn.
What they didn’t know: I memorized every route, every client, every rate.
I rebuilt our dispatch sheet at night because their Excel was a mess.
Drivers trusted me more than my uncle. I was the one fixing late shipments at 2 AM.
One day DHL comes for a partnership meeting.
Uncle and cousin sit in suits. I’m in my delivery uniform, unloading a truck in the back.
DHL guy: “Who handles route optimization and client retention?”
Uncle: “I do.”
DHL guy: “Then why does your churn rate show 40% on routes you ‘handle’?”
They turn to me.
“32% savings on fuel last year. We dropped 12 bad clients. Re-negotiated contracts with 4 suppliers. All under my name in the system.”
DHL: “We only work with the person who actually runs it.”
Here’s the kicker: Dad left me 51% in the will. Uncle “lost” the paperwork.
I found the original in dad’s old locker.
I called a board meeting. Bought out my uncle’s 49% with an investor loan using the warehouse as collateral.
He tried to sue. Lost.
Last month he called asking for a “consultant” role.
I told him we’re fully automated now. No consultants needed.

I don't even like that I have to say this, but comparing Peter Obi to Tinubu is a massive reach. Disagree with his politics all you want because that is the beauty of democracy, but let’s not lie about pedigree. Obi hasn't even touched this level of economic discourse.
Vote for whoever you want, but do not disrespect the man’s intelligence or capacity by putting Obi in the same bracket.

President Tinubu: Investment is very cowardly unless you are transparent, accountable and forthright. Part of that is Africa looking at itself putting our resources together so we can go out there and negotiate for ourselves. I wrote an article in the Financial Times talking about international rating agencies.

If I got a dollar every time I've been asked, "What do you use on your hair?" I'd be giving away money, not hair tips.
On a serious note, hair care is not complicated; it can be time-consuming sometimes though, but once you crack it, everything else is a continuous learning process and a whole lot of patience.
➡️ First things first, you have to find out your hair type and porosity. This influences what goes into your hair (Products) and how they go into your hair, plus what you do to your hair (Routine)
Let's assume you know that already. These are my PRACTICAL tips and how I care for MY hair.
➡️ Focus more on achieving healthy hair than long hair. With health, length, and thickness follow.
➡️ Wash your hair, please. No healthy hair will grow on an all-time dirty scalp. Products can cause buildups on your scalp, which can clog your hair follicles and stunt growth.
➡️ Deep condition: Stop skipping deep conditioners. They nourish your strands, help replenish the natural oils and nutrients your shampoo might have washed off. They also add an extra layer of moisture to the hair.
I personally deep condition EVERY wash day.
PS: Deep conditioners ≠ regular conditioners.
➡️ Moisturize: Sometimes, the reason your hair is always frizzy and breaking is because of dryness. Dryness is one of the leading causes of hair damage, like breakage, split ends, frizz, knotting, etc.
When it comes to moisturizing, I keep it really simple.
Water > to hydrate
Leave-in conditioner > to moisturize
Hair butter/cream > to seal and lock in moisture
Hair oil > Seals in moisture (in the absence of butter), for oiling and massaging the scalp.
The order in which you apply these is totally dependent on your hair porosity.
➡️ Avoid high tension hairstyles: they damage your hair.
➡️ Wear protective styles that are actually PROTECTING.
➡️ Avoid over-manipulation: Leave your hair alone.
➡️ Gentle detangling: Before you detangle your hair, ensure you have a spray bottle of water and a leave-in conditioner by your side; these add slip to your hair, making it easier to detangle.
Finger detangle first, use your fingers to gently get out all knots and tangles, then proceed with a WIDE-TOOTH comb, if you must. I barely use a comb, though.
➡️ Please wear satin/silk bonnets or scarves. Especially if your pillow cases are cotton, wear satin/silk bonnets or scarves. An alternative: change your pillow cases to silk or satin. Cottons dry out your hair.
➡️ Reduce heat and, if you must, use good heat protectant.
➡️ Trim when necessary (when you have damaged and split ends) and don't trim when it's not necessary (you just end up cutting off your length)
➡️ Don't be a product/routine junkie. Find what works for you and stick to it.
➡️ Be patient with your hair. Nothing will grow your hair overnight; learn the process, sit through the process, repeat the process, and you'll get your results.
➡️ I use ayurvedic and herbal products (I make all of them myself. You can either check them out on my YouTube channel, or I can make them for you, at a cost, of course.
Check out my YouTube Channel for more.
Thank you for reading through. I hope to do this more often.

There's this girl I met during my service year at my PPA. I was in batch A2, she was in B1.
While we were still serving, she became pregnant.
The guy responsible denied the pregnancy completely and disappeared without a trace. He was not even a fellow corper. Till today, he has not shown face or called.
One day, with tears, she confided in me that she wanted to terminate the pregnancy.
She said her parents would klll her if they ever find out.
We were not even very close, but somehow she felt safe talking to me. Maybe because I always tried to be welcoming and never looked like someone who would judge another person’s mistakes.
“Please don’t do it. Keep the baby. If you think your parents will be angry, then don’t tell them for now. Stay back after service and raise your baby here.”
To avoid the shame and embarrassment of an unwanted pregnancy, we bought a ring for her to wear so people would believe she was married. Lol
Looking back now, it sounds funny, but at that moment, it was the only protection I could give her against naysayers and gossips.
Yesterday, her little boy turned two years old. You should see the gigantic cake she baked.
She called me with tears of gratitude in her voice and said, “thank you for not allowing me to destroy the greatest gift God gave me.”
Those words touched me deeply and still rings in my head. It made me feel fulfilled.
Please before you seek an advise from a person, even if you don't love God, make sure the person loves and fears God. E get why.
After service, she got a job in Calabar and has been raising her son all by herself happily with no regret.
Till today, her parents still do not know they have a grandson somewhere.
But seeing her smile beside that handsome little boy filled my heart with joy.
Life may not always begin the way we planned, but sometimes the child we fear the most becomes the greatest blessing we never knew we needed.
No matter the situation, no matter how the pregnancy happened, ABORTION IS NEVER AN OPTION.
Yes, she gave me the honor to name her baby and I called him ZOE—The Life of God.
