I was in a taxi the other day and the FM the taxi driver has tuned to was discussing whether Ghanaians have lost hope in our electoral process and our politicians. A woman in the taxi made this statement “Why would I leave my business, wake-up at dawn to go join a queue to vote for a political party and then when they come to power they wouldn’t even care about me…” I have heard people make this statement a lot of times and this show how much the ordinary Ghanaian has lost faith in our political parties and they don’t seem to care. For the past 23 years I have been on this earth, I have not seen a clear pathway this country is taking to leave the trenches. Every government comes with his new ideas and even if they start working on them and another government comes into power, that government would never continue whatever that thing is This is clearly shown in several abandoned projects in this country and all these are taxpayers money oo. How do you expect a government to move forward if we have this mindset. As a nation we have allowed politics to brainwash, divide and destroyed our sense of unity do much that even the influences we deem influencers have political masters who pay them to politically defend their every move. And the youth who are supposed to stand for what is right… they don’t even care anymore. They rather engage in useless agendas over here for clout and Elon’s money and sometimes I don’t even blame them. They have to eat. But if this is who we are as a country, we are never getting out of the trenches. IT IS HIGH TIME THE YOUTH OF GHANA ARISE AND STAND FOR WHAT IS GOOD FOR THIS COUNTRY AND BOT FOR THEMSELVES I leave you with the quote below
