None of you watched this movie, because its obviously done for effect. I actually didn't notice at the time, but after the "twist" there is a lot of very obvious "this is in her head" "this is in his head" stuff and this would very easily fit into that.

Convinced now of the theory that the "Nolan twist" in this movie is that it is set in the future. The style of it will be deliberate, an award winning director with a gigantic budget is not making "crap" costume design unless it's intentional.
