Grok 4.5 from @SpaceXAI places #2 on the APEX-SWE leaderboard at 51.2% Pass@1 (±6.0), behind Fable 5 (65.5% ±6.2) on our benchmark for real-world software engineering work. It leads Integration (65.0% Pass@1) and places #2 in Observability (37.3% Pass@1), covering multi-step build tasks and diagnosis/debugging respectively. The Integration lead maps directly to the agentic workflows Grok 4.5 was built for: multi-step coding tasks run in collaboration with Cursor. Grok models have improved 30.2 pp in a year on this benchmark: Grok 4 (21.0% Pass@1) to Grok 4.5 (51.2% Pass@1). Congratulations to the xAI and Cursor teams.

Pourtant, le @neutralityorg vient de sortir The Neutrality Project : une étude indépendante qui prouve l’inverse. Sur 18 modèles IA testés, 54 positions sur 60 atterrissent à gauche du centre. Moyenne globale : -0.41 (biais progressiste massif, surtout environnement et valeurs sociales). Et Grok 4.5 ? -0.02. Le modèle le plus neutre de tout le benchmark. Le seul vraiment proche du centre. Pendant ce temps, les autres boîtes injectent massivement leur idéologie de gauche dans des IA qui répondent à des milliards de questions par jour. Manipulation des masses à grande échelle. SpaceX just announced that they will be deploying V3 Starlink satellites for the first time during their 13th Starship test flight next week! Six of the satellites have been modified with a suite of cameras to scan Starship’s heat shield and transmit imagery. Summary of every major upgrade and modification @SpaceX says it's made for the upcoming test flight: • More robust stage separation flip sequence to prevent the booster from rotating off course. • Hardware upgrades to improve Super Heavy Raptor re-light reliability during the boostback burn. • Updated engine alarms and abort logic for multi-engine flight conditions. • Starship propulsion system hardware and operational changes to address the Flight 12 engine-out issue. • First deployment of 20 Starlink V3 satellites with laser links, deployable solar arrays, and antennas. • Six Starlink V3 satellites equipped with cameras to inspect Starship's heat shield after reentry. • White-painted heat shield tiles added as simulated missing tiles and imaging targets. • New heat shield tile designs and attachment mechanisms, including tests on the aft flaps and aft skirt. • Load-sensing heat shield tiles to measure stresses during flight. • Higher dynamic pressure ascent profile to stress-test the heat shield and increase payload capability. • Planned in-space Raptor engine relight test. SpaceX: "For the first time, Starship will carry V3 Starlink satellites to space, which aim to greatly expand the network's capacity and user speeds. As part of this initial test, Starship is planned to deploy 20 satellites which will extend solar arrays and antennas and will attempt to connect with ground stations in South Africa and the larger Starlink constellation via high-capacity lasers. Six of the satellites have been modified with a suite of cameras to scan Starship’s heat shield and transmit imagery down to operators to continue testing methods of analyzing Starship’s heat shield readiness for return to launch site on future missions. Several tiles on Starship have been painted white to simulate missing tiles and serve as imaging targets in the test."

Grok 4.5 is looking like a success with help from Cursor data but underneath the surface we expect future Grok/Cursor model training is likely to speed up in the coming months. We've spent several months getting up to speed on the SpaceXAI business, especially the tech underneath it. The C rewrite was under appreciated by the investor community so we dug in to quantify its impact. including building a physics first model that functions as a stopwatch for the SpaceXAI model factory. Bottomline: C-rewrite gets SpaceXAI faster model cycles, leveraging 33% more tokens/second/GPU against SOTA competition resulting in the potential to shipping new models every ~3.5 weeks. two core learnings from this modeling exercise: 1: the training cycle speed up is primarily coming from RL (not pretraining) where the increased tokens/second/GPU advantage can shave up 2+ weeks off full model training cycle. 2: the rewrite itself should compound the time savings as model sizes grow. at ~2T shaving off 2-3 weeks, ~8 weeks at 6T, and 15 weeks at 10T. Note: a 20T parameter model likely runs into a data bottleneck prior to a training speed bottleneck but the directional advantage stands. Also we assume tokens/second/gpu advantage will melt over time as competitors try to match it. when you do the math, in true SpaceX and Elon fashion, it looks like they are attempting to build a SOTA model factory that can pump out bigger models faster than anyone else.
