After 5+ years in NFTs, doing deals otc and helping others middleman, I finally got hit. A hacker pulled a fast one by making a fake group chat with a “middleman.” Between rushing at work and trying to close a deal, I didn’t double check. I lost my full Quirk set in seconds, and the chats were wiped clean. I’ll be real, it stung. But within minutes, the community showed up. @lordeco , @TheQuirkKnight , @GhostLabNFT , and @quirkiesnft — you all rallied and raised enough to help me buy another Quirk. You didn’t have to do that. It was my mistake. But you did anyway, and I’ll never forget that. I’ve been feeling pretty down about Web3 lately, but this reminded me what it’s really about. Not the charts, not the floor prices, but the friendships, the loyalty, and the people who show up when it matters. Whether you contributed, reached out, or just checked in, thank you. You reminded me why I started and why I’ll always rep the real ones. Forever grateful. 🙏
