We had a classroom goal of getting 220 leaves. Students earned a leaf for every book they read at home. We grew 225 leaves so we met our goal and got an ice cream party. Happy March is Reading Month! @NCSD @NoviWoods

Give One, Get One thinking routine for our new word family.Students got a minute to brainstorm words.Then I played music while students went around and clapped hands.When I stopped the music, that was their partner.They shared words to get ideas from each other. @NCSD @NoviWoods

Such a busy day with my 100 year old students. Making a 100 piece snack, 100 sticker/stamp book, 100 sprinkles with q tip paint on our sundaes, 100 piece domino building, 100 drawing strip hat, and so much more. @NCSD @NoviWoods

Today we read “The Biggest Pumpkin Ever” which is about two mice working together to create the biggest pumpkin ever. We made plans with our groups for who will do which part and acted out the story by making the biggest Jack o lanterns ever. #collaboration @NCSD @NoviWoods

Yesterday we were learning about solving story problems and I introduced the class to Linus the Minus and Gus the Plus. My heart was so happy when I came to school today and had two students want to show some extra learning and drawing they did at home. @NCSD @NoviWoods #math
