All #Chaldeans are #Assyrian: historically, contemporarily, genetically, ethnically, geographically, linguistically, etc. This is an undeniable fact of reality, and is a moot point at this period in time! Please, focus on unity among #Chaldo-Assyrians peoples across all churches, so we can get over it then we can get to defending ourselves, and rebuilding our fledgling nation! Thank you! 😊 @AlexKarana @weamnamou @THOMASCHALDEAN @Rabea_Allos @FAlqosh #Iraq #Israel #Syria #Christian #catholic

I don't hate Assyrians and I'm not against unity trying to force the Assyrian name on Chaldeans and Syriacs is the reason there is division

@_ant________ Don’t say you’re against unity when all your posts are Sepy encouragement related. Even the patriarchs want a unified church, they just disagree on who will run the show. We are headed towards extinction, the sepy nonsense is on serious issue that must be settled.

@_ant________ No no it isn’t, the Chaldean and Syriac names are the reason for division. Creating fake ethnicities is the reason. The Chaldean CC is just a faction that split from the COE due to secession disputes. Enough sepy nonsense, time for unity.

@TheJewOfJihad @GewargisOfAthor You didn’t address what I said, why do care what an insignificant minority thinks or says? It shows how weak you are, how concerned you are.

At this point, with all the evidence and sources we have, denying Assyrian continuity is a declaration that you are a retard. Assyrians make Kurds insecure because they know we are the roots of what they claim as their land.

@AshurLegacy Not more absurd than the „we‘re not Aramean, we‘re Assyrian“ claim tbh

@Danny5Kills @Ashshuraya @Ramsen_ This would be historically inaccurate, as it amounts to the fabrication of an identity. That is exactly what is happening now, and it is what I will continue to oppose. I will not tolerate any attempt to replace Suryayootha or to sever the continuity of our forefathers.

@GewargisOfAthor @Ashshuraya @Ramsen_ 1 It’s a correction to reflect the actual roots of our people’s actual name, not a fabrication but a correction 2 It would in my op, strengthen nationalism 3 Counter separatist nonsense, decisive response

@GewargisOfAthor @Ramsen_ I’m sure if you asked those ancestors who lived the traditions they would agree to the idea of changing it to Ashuraye and I think if we discussed/voted on it today, we could convince most Assyrians as well.

@Danny5Kills @Ramsen_ The point is that our actual native self designation in speech, literature, and communal life was Suryaya. So if you reject names because they are later, ideological, or externally pushed, then Ashuraya or Athoraya is no less foreign to our lived tradition.

@Ashshuraya @GewargisOfAthor @Ramsen_ Gerwargis, may I ask would be wholly against such a change? Let’s say we made a Modern Standardized Assyrian Neo Aramaic, and we natively reverted back to Ashuraye in our language. This would be historically accurate, help re-enforce national integrity, and nationalism.

@GewargisOfAthor @Danny5Kills @Ramsen_ That's just as stupid as if Germans called themselves "Ermans" or Americans called themselves "Mericans." Do you realize how backward our people are? We have a Name its Ashuraye from Ashur. Don't repeat the mistake just because your predecessor did the same thing.

@GewargisOfAthor @Ramsen_ One being an Assyrian counterfeit Roman Catholic Church and the other being a language family we belong to. Both incorrect and inaccurate names for our people used by sepy rats.

@Danny5Kills @Ramsen_ Actually using Atoraya or Ashuraya is not different then using Chaldaya or Aramaya. We all called ourselves Suryaye and Suryaye only.

@Danny5Kills @GhostOV_ALDAVIS @Ramsen_ I have never denied this. I am asking you, post Assyrian empire, did we call ourselves Ashuraya or Athoraya colloquially? I am waiting for a piece of evidence from you.

@GewargisOfAthor @GhostOV_ALDAVIS @Ramsen_ Maybe in certain pockets but my point is this is the origin and authentic version of name. It’s time to resurrect it. To create unification, it will help with that, counter separatists agenda, and prevent any from surfacing in the future.

@GewargisOfAthor @GhostOV_ALDAVIS @Ramsen_ This PhD professor explains it very simply. Linguistic reduction or simplification is common in all languages. Ashuraya got dropped to Suraye. From Assyrian to Syrian in English. It’s logical and common sense.
