Few Salah thoughts after last night; #LFC fans have been blessed with seeing some special attacking talents in the modern era - Torres, Suarez. Neither hit Salah levels and he's still rising. Easy to take for granted but this is genuine greatness in motion - won't see this again.

It was always the intention, yet the whole spiel from lacklustre pundits questioning why LFC bought both Ekitike and Isak became so tiresome so quickly. Real low level chat, with an obvious answer. The priority now for LFC this summer will be versatile wide attackers + defence.

Mo Salah’s confirmed pending LFC exit doesn’t come as the biggest surprise, but among other things it does serve to answer exactly why the club bought Isak. All talk right now immediately would’ve been ‘who replaces Salah!?’ in a classic case of hyperbole circus.

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

For what it’s worth I don’t want Arne Slot sacked. Feel there’s a chance he recovers from this and oversees a golden stretch - but LFC have relied on fine margins all season and there isn’t a blueprint in that sort of thinking.
