@_EFCCarlos_ If we get in to Europe the signings like this are required to a) bolster squad and b) provide valuable experience and quality - he can play cb and cm and could have 3/4 good yrs left in him. His recent injury record is the only thing that’d put me off, assuming we make Europe

@TheAdrianDurham @JackLayzell VAR has made refs reluctant to make big decisions - this being a prime example. Agree he reffed well but still a terrible error in not giving a straight red, you can’t hide behind VAR as a) the ppl who run it are unreliable and b) it confuses the “on field decision” scenario

@JackLayzell Again, just in case it was missed. It's irrelevant what you or me think of it. This is a discussion about VAR and refs not being slaves to the laws in a game they are understanding perfectly. It wasn't a good challenge think we could all see that but thanks for the input 👍

...middle of the game. Yellow wasn't a clear and obvious error in the contextofwhat was going on. In a sterile box hundreds of mile away they can't feel the game. It was a foul, no doubt. But a great example of VAR intervening unnecessarily. Bankes was doing great without VAR 2/2

Peter Bankes refereed Wrexham v Chelsea superbly, one of the best ref displays I've seen his season. He showed Dobson yellow for the foul on Garnacho in the context of the game. Whether you think it was red or not is irrelevant, it's not about you. It's about the ref in the...1/2

100% true this! So why now, when we are remarkably not a million miles away from a CL place, can we not stop cry arsing about anything possible, leaving the ground with 15 mins to go, and actually contribute in the same fashion as we did in them gloomier times?!

Because he is an absolutely hopeless defender. The most annoying for me this season is how ppl seem to think he’s ‘turned it around’ and has been great - he’s been completely average at best which is a major upgrade on expectations. Criminal and costly that he started on Monday
