@Lew541207 I did not assume that a fake angel appeared to anyone. Paul’s warning is against even a real angel. One like Joseph smith claimed appeared to him. Paul was called directly by Christ himself on the road to Damascus. They are not the same.

You assume that only false angels appear as the result of your interpretation of Paul. In the context of the whole chapter, Paul is more like Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet by revelation of Jesus Christ. Latter-day Saint scriptures recorded at least four appearances of Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith. The angels wer sent by God between those appearances of the Savior. Case closed. Paul records being called of Jesus Christ by personal revelation, just like Joseph Smith.
