@prococoach That’s really good, certainly with academy coaching and grassroots these are great environments to experiment with ideas and different sessions. But without reflection you can’t learn ⚽️

@rik_may Love that @rik_may 🙌🏽 It is all about enjoyment and the experience. A great coach I had at Man Utd (Tony Whelan) always said it should feel like Christmas Day everyday you go to training. Tag two coaches you admire 👍🏽

Allows you to play ‘around’ against opposition press. Can also cause confusion with the oppositions press. Who presses the CM dropping in?

Versus Gateshead, when one of York's midfielders dropped deeper, between the CBs, the FBs (Felix and Aguiar) pushed higher into the half-spaces. This created a 3-1-6 shape. 👇 Gateshead pressed York's build-up zonally, in a 5-2-3. THREAD! 🧵

1/3 After much consideration I’ve decided to leave my role as Youth Development Phase Lead Coach at Swindon Town. There are some amazing people working at that football club. I wish those guys the very best in the future. This has been an incredibly hard decision…..
