It’s difficult for most of these children to argue without throwing insults. State your assertion and give reasons why you disagree, you will rather throw insults just because you can’t participate in a debate like a civilised human.

@olamide_adee If you want to lie… Don’t bring it online. No one can denounce Nigerian citizenship, only the president can revoke your citizenship. Perhaps your sister went to Germany stateless to seek asylum, meaning she never went to Germany as regular migrant. Always tell the full story

10 years ago, which she referred to, Germany did not accept dual citizenship except it’s impossible for you to renounce or it will cost you more. So Nigeria was one of the few countries allowed to have dual citizenship in Germany, 10 years ago. The law in Nigeria states that only the president can decide if it can be renounced or not, and Nigerian embassies don’t take the case serious, so it usually will not get to the president. I am ready to bet 10million if she can show proof of Nigerian citizenship being renounced.

@DapoDan @olamide_adee It used to be the case before. To obtain the German citizenship, one must denounce the other. But it is no longer the case.

Many Nations do not accept dual citizenship, correct, and Germany was not accepting dual citizenship until 2024 when Olaf was the chancellor. What I am saying is that, you can not just wake up and denounce Nigerian citizenship, only the President can allow you to do it. It’s almost impossible to renounce your Nigerian citizenship.

@DapoDan @olamide_adee Yes but in Most European countries, you can't have dual citizenship or use two passports. Before they grant you their own passport, you have to drop(dump) the Nigerian passport you have.

JUST IN: Iran gave Russia its Shahed drones. Russia improved them in Ukraine. Now Western intelligence says Russia is shipping the upgraded versions back to Iran. And the country that learned how to kill those drones on the battlefield just sent 228 experts to the Gulf to teach five countries how to do the same thing. The full circle is extraordinary. Iran supplied thousands of Shahed-136 kamikaze drones to Russia starting in 2022 for use against Ukraine. Russia rebranded them Geran-2 and, over three years of combat, upgraded the navigation systems, added anti-jamming capabilities, improved the engines, and refined the payload delivery. The Financial Times and AP reported on March 26 citing Western intelligence that Russia is now in the final stages of shipping those upgraded Geran-2 drones back to Iran’s IRGC, along with medicine and food supplies. Kremlin spokesman Peskov called the reports “lies” and “fake news dumps.” Meanwhile, Zelensky arrived in Saudi Arabia on March 26 for an unannounced visit, met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, signed a defense cooperation deal focused on air defense and drone expertise, and departed Jeddah on March 28. Ukraine has deployed 201 to 228 military drone specialists to five Gulf and Middle Eastern countries: the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Jordan. Another 34 are ready per Zelensky’s statement on March 17. These specialists are not there as a symbolic gesture. They bring the single most effective counter to Shahed drones that exists anywhere on earth. Ukraine developed FPV interceptor drones that account for roughly 70 percent of all Shahed and Geran-2 shootdowns in Ukraine per Forces News and Atlantic Council reporting. The method: radar and acoustic sensors detect the incoming drone at 20 to 50 kilometres. A cheap, fast quadcopter or fixed-wing interceptor launches from a mobile platform. An operator pilots it at high speed toward the target. It destroys the Shahed through kamikaze collision or a small explosive payload on impact. Cost per intercept: a fraction of what a surface-to-air missile costs. Militarnyi reported on March 22 that Ukrainian teams have already confirmed multiple Shahed shootdowns in the Middle East. The arms race running through this war is now a closed loop. Iran builds the drone. Russia tests it, improves it, and allegedly sends the improved version back. Ukraine learns to kill it through three years of battlefield iteration. Ukraine exports that knowledge to the Gulf states Iran is attacking. The Gulf states pay Ukraine in money, technology, and diplomatic support. Russia denies everything while the drones fly in both directions. This is not a bilateral conflict. It is a global drone ecosystem where every improvement by one side is studied, countered, and re-exported by the other. The Shahed that hits a refinery in Bahrain tonight may carry Russian-upgraded navigation. The interceptor that destroys it may be piloted by a Ukrainian operator trained in Zaporizhzhia. The defense deal that funded the deployment was signed in Jeddah while the war it was designed to address raged 1,500 kilometres to the northeast. SpaceX’s Starlink provides the communications backbone for these teams in contested environments where terrestrial networks are degraded by the same war. The same helium shortage threatening semiconductor fabs and quantum computers is threatening the rocket launches that put Starlink satellites in orbit. The same strait carrying the oil carries the data cables that the drones are trying to protect. Every domain connects through the same 39 kilometres of water. @Patience_Uchech The choice of a country to goto, select a country that makes it easier for you to get their PR or citizenship ASAP. This makes your life easier, as visa status is a source of anxiety for most immigrants.

Una too funny for this country. There is a principle in tort law called the Bane and Antidote. The principle is that, if you are going to allege that a statement is defamatory, you cannot just pull one line out of thin air and run to court with it. You have to read the entire publication. If, when read as a whole, the context neutralises the damage, the sting is gone. The claim dies there. Knowing that principle, I couldn't help but laugh at this. That is exactly what happened here. Read that thread from the beginning. This man supported, publicly, a position that championed "all men are rapist / men are guilty of rape until proven otherwise". Someone quoted his own tweet and said by your logic, here is what you are, "a rapist". Now he wants to sue for defamation. The quoter did not call him a rapist. The quoter held up a mirror. He took his own argument, followed it to its logical conclusion, and showed him what it looked like. That is not a defamatory statement. That is a syllogism. That is rhetoric. That is what happens when you make extreme claims in public discourse. Defamation law was never designed to protect you from something like this. No reasonable person reading that thread "in full context" would come away genuinely believing this man was being identified as an actual rapist. The context neutralises it completely. The bane and the antidote exist in the same publication. There is no sting. And without a sting, there is no defamation. All in all, lawyers will cash out. That's a good one.

For anyone who doesn’t know, here are the Big 4 accounting firms: 1. Deloitte 2. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) 3. Ernst & Young (EY) 4. KPMG They’re global firms with active offices in Nigeria. Now, for the Big 5 law firms in Nigeria, we have: 1. Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie (UUBO) 2. Banwo & Ighodalo 3. Aluko & Oyebode 4. Templars 5. Olaniwun Ajayi LP Unlike the Big 4 in accounting, the “Big 5” label isn’t formally standardized in Nigeria’s legal space. However, these firms are widely regarded as the top-tier players in commercial law. You’ll also sometimes see G. Elias & Co. included, depending on the ranking criteria. If helpful, I can put together a list of top commercial law firms in Nigeria, with their HR emails. Just let me know in the comments, and I’ll get on it.
Tolu Grey 🧃@Tolu__Grey

Exposure is so underrated. There's Nigerian accounting undergrads who don't know the Big 4 exist.
