One fact many of you are missing is that the person made the money from the financial market. Once you start trading crypto or forex, you develop the mindset that you can always make it back, especially since you made that money from the same market. You begin to see money as numbers on a screen. It can be toxic, yes. But if you’ve never traded crypto, forex, or stocks, you may never fully grasp how easy it is for people to go back to zero. The market gives, and it takes.

@PELSAUTOS @fairmoney_ng A microfinance bank did this to me just two weeks ago, I had to find someone working in the bank to expedite the process. I would've been probably been made to wait for a few days or weeks.

This past Friday, I hosted the second edition of #LunchWithHarri. Unlike the first edition which was all about young marketing professionals, this time it was a room full of young men between 20 - 29, having honest conversations about life, career, love, pressure, expectations, and what it really means to figure things out as a man. As men, we don’t talk enough about the confusion, the pressure to have it all figured out, the silent battles. But spaces like this remind you that we’re all just learning, adjusting, and doing the best we can. Nobody really has it all figured out. The conversations were solid. The energy, even better. Definitely doing this again.

All of you supporting the woman are likely mad. Seems y’all just realized doctors shouldn’t be paid less than 100k for a consultation but a lawyer can charge 200k+ for one. The worst set of persons are those telling her to use Ai. I mean, FMC Lagos was there but you used your own discretion to go to one of the most expensive hospitals, then you come on twitter to cry about their charges. You are not ready.
Tobi Odukoya@TobiOdukoyaFilm

I went to this hospital at Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja Lagos I wanted to see the gynecologist. I paid for registration, 23,766 Paid for consultation, 119,000 Paid for tests close to 350k (it was about three hundred and forty something) Minus my T.fare o Now after close to a month, my results are ready. Oya o, tell me what the tests says. NO, I HAVE TO PAY 64,000 FIRST before the gynecologist can interpret what my tests says. I almost lost it with them! They said it's the policy. And frankly i don't have 64k to pay for tests interpretation. I told them to send the results to my mail. I'm so heartbroken and disappointed.

The first ever scam that caught me came immediately after I bought FEG tokens. It was a token that was given to feg holders but the scam here was anytime you try to swap, you pay over $10 in gas fee. Now the value of the false token was like $35K so I kept trying and trying !!! When my eyes clear na after I dun use over 300$ 😂

I i was telling my wife the other day that I feel so bad for Gen zs and the generation after them. I was at an event that had a lot of them, and it was just sad. Bad Govt and bad economy have robbed them of having a vibrant social life. They hardly buy drinks at the club, can't afford cars, and can't afford decent apartments, so they create their own little way of having fun in raves and the likes. No money to afford drinks. That's why you see prevalent recreational drug use in that demographic From Uni, I was able to properly plan and go clubbing and will have such an amazing time, i would fly from Benin to Lagos with 10k then and not pay it any thought. When I started working, my first car was 700k, a 2006 EOD in 2012 then, and when I moved to my first apartment. Rent was 1m for a 2bed on the island, and 1hp ac was 60k. I remember buying a ticket to Venice for 180k and changing 2000usd for 360k at southern sun that year. I feel so bad for them, their youth taken away from them because bad govt after bad govt, devaluation after devaluation.

There are things one can comment on that people would not believe or understand. When people unfairly malign some founders, I get upset because I have seen them at their lowest and helped them with basic things they couldn't afford, even after they raised so-called “millions of dollars.” Many don't understand how startup funding works. Announcements may be made, but the money doesn't always come in one chunk, and overheads are insane when you are growing fast. This is why I am always against large fundraising announcements, as they are rarely a true reflection of the truth. Even VCs who do fundraises never get all the money at once and sweat through capital calls. A relative in the industry once came to Ghana and was looking for a cheap hotel. I didn't understand why someone who gave out millions of dollars was living like that until I was on the other side. Those management fees don't land like the lottery. You suffer for it, and it doesn't cover much. It was why I decided not to do that anymore and take life easy. So many of the perceptions people have about wealth are wrong. Cash flow is everything, and things can go horribly wrong when inflows and outflows are mismatched. I have repeated several times here that my uncle, with all his banking career income and billions of Naira in assets, was down to his last 1000 Naira at home in 1999, yet we still ended up buying a bank that year. The lesson of coming out of that hole never left me. It is why I make some small, random investments that people may not understand, which sometimes pay off unexpectedly. A domain sale once helped to pay my children’s school fees. A paid Calendly appointment bought my wife a set of tires and a fridge. The key is ALWAYS to keep earning and investing in what can sustain cash flow. There are investments for capital gains and for cash flow. The magic in all of this is keeping the burn rate low. No amount is too small to save or make. An unexpected £150 overdraft from Barclays during my lowest period enabled me to take clients to a dinner that changed my life.
Akin Olaoye@akintollgate

“High Net-worth broke” is another type of suffering no one explains. You might find a billionaire indoors in his mega-mansion unable to buy fuel in his 5 car convoy to attend an event. He locks his gate and avoids visitors hoping he can solve their problems. I once helped a G-wagon bros with N50k to fuel his car as he was running late for a flight and only had 3 miles with 0 Naira in all his accounts. I was fueling my classic mercedes at the forte oil on admiralty road in lekkk and he casually walked up to me and told me his ordeal. I didn’t even think twice or judge him, I just asked them to fuel him quickly. Apparently his driver took the car on an errand and left it on empty. He got to Abuja and transferred N250k to me about a month later. I totally forgot the encounter. Great guy and today he is one of my biggest customers at my eyewear stores. I too had been in his shoes, so I understand how it happens. That Rich man you look up too, might need your little help once in a while. 🙏🏾

That was no loophole that was theft. When Banks request Dollars from the CBN, customers are meant to go into banks to buy these dollars at official rate but what they do is take the dollars out of the bank and sell them to BDC in the black market. Customers go to bank for Fx, they will find an Aboki guy chilling on one side inside the bank ready to take your txns. That’s not loophole, that’s theft.

Affluence Indeed!! Prince of Forex Arbitrage RIP They were known as Emefiele cartel They get dollars from the central bank under the guise of legitimate FX transactions, funnel it to the black market and pocket the difference They did that for 8years, putting artificial pressure on value of NGN While Emefiele was using the foreign reserve to defend against the pressure they were manufacturing Cardoso came in and unified exchange rate window thereby blocking that leak But these bed bugs have sucked enough blood to sustain a thousand lifetimes Public officials are bastards but you see these private folks, from bankers to contractors, they don’t deserve your pity

I am surprised that people are surprised that a fmr. bank CEO has over 100 properties in the UK. Seems like we don't know the level of affluence those folks are operating at.

I have not even touched the money he made in 2024😂 Even the GLE. Meanwhile if he didn't have those things he would have still been my mentor, Because when he was mentoring me he didn't have those things and I still paid. So I wasn't paying because of those stuffs. Richard change your mindset🙂 I go avoid you now because if you get pass me tomorrow you go pour me hot spit I don see am🙃 Na your type dey bite the finger wey feed them🧐 And also the real goal of mentorship is for mentees to do better than you because they get corrected where you made mistake but when mentee feel like he don achieve e go get pride, which is why many mentors don't teach you all they know so you come crying always.

Crypto Can be Tracked 😁😉 SAY NO TO FRAUD!! *EFCC arrested Kofoworola Kolawole over N993m forex fraud* The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Kofoworola Motunrayo Kolawole, a 37-year-old company representative, on March 30, 2026, for an alleged ₦993.2 million foreign exchange fraud. The arrest was carried out by the Ilorin Zonal Directorate following a petition from Predictus Remit Limited, a subsidiary of Fairmoney Microfinance Bank. The Allegation: Kolawole, acting for DKK Partners Limited, allegedly obtained ₦993,247,796.70 on November 25, 2025, under the pretext of converting it into $675,219.44 for remittance. Diversion of Funds: Instead of fulfilling the forex transaction, the suspects allegedly received the money through a Providus Bank account, converted it into digital currency, and diverted it for personal use. Accomplices: Kolawole allegedly conspired with two company directors, Duru Ogadima and Talukder Muhammed Khalidur Rahman, both of whom are currently at large. The EFCC stated that Kolawole will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete. @Crypto_Ohms

So many people don't know how dangeròus this alliance is. Especially with the involvement of Kwankwaso. Kwankwaso is bigger than Peter Obi when it comes to cult-like politics. Peter Obi cult-like movement started in 2023 naming it "OBIdients " Go to the north and ask about Rabiu Kwankwaso as his cult-like movement. They are called the "KWANKWASIYYA". the people under these movements have been loyal to him and with him since 2011. He's the biggest name in Northern politics, and nobody comes close. He has more followers than Peter Obi. The interesting thing here is that he is willing to go as a running mate to Peter Obi, not minding his political experience above him. This is something Atiku has failed to do. The mission is to chase away APC and their còhorts in 2027. If we are to see these people as the ADC flag bearers, just know that APC is out. APC has no loyal supporters. They are full of money mòngers and saboteurs. Tinubu has whyned th North, and they are not fully for him come 2027. He's been trying to get every governor in the southeast and west to win 2027 and show the North that he can win an election without them. But this is not possible. The North has the biggest strongold in any election. Massive people. And it's wise to see Peter Obi Align with the North. If you're not politically active and ready to take back your country, this is the time to be active. Peter Obi is coming.
