So true. The EU took advantage of the continent’s third largest economy while France, Germany and Spain did much better. And Meloni wants closer ties with the EU globalist cabal. She could have had bilateral trade agreements with the U.S., placed a naval blockade on migration long ago before it became too late, and served her people better.

A Mosca e San Pietroburgo hanno iniziato a disattivare internet prima del 9 maggio. Per alcuni utenti non funzionano nemmeno le “liste bianche”. Però ci sarà la parata! Mostreranno alla gente Putin imbottito di botox sulla Piazza Rossa! Non è chiaro perché i russi siano così scontenti, vero? A cosa gli serve internet! I servizi di monitoraggio dei guasti in rete hanno registrato un forte aumento delle segnalazioni sui problemi con internet mobile a Mosca e San Pietroburgo a partire dalla notte tra lunedì e martedì. Il giorno prima, gli operatori mobili avevano annunciato “limitazioni temporanee” di internet nelle due città nel periodo dal 5 al 9 maggio. Un picco di segnalazioni sui problemi di accesso a internet mobile a San Pietroburgo si è verificato intorno a mezzanotte; successivamente il numero di messaggi è diminuito, ma dopo le 6 del mattino ha ricominciato a crescere, secondo i dati del servizio Downdetector. A Mosca, il servizio ha registrato un forte aumento delle segnalazioni di problemi con internet mobile a partire dalle 8 del mattino. Un aumento delle segnalazioni di disservizi nelle ultime ore è stato registrato anche dal servizio “Sboj.rf”. Gli utenti segnalano l’assenza di internet mobile per Beeline, Megafon, MTS e YOTA, l’indisponibilità di messaggistica e siti web, nonché l’assenza di rete mobile. Alcuni autori delle segnalazioni scrivono che “non funzionano nemmeno le liste bianche”. “Nel centro di Mosca non c’è proprio internet mobile, nemmeno con le ‘liste bianche’. Taxi, consegne, messaggistica — niente funziona”, ha scritto un utente. A San Pietroburgo, l’autore di una segnalazione ha riferito dell’attivazione del regime delle “liste bianche”. Il giorno prima, a Mosca, Beeline ha iniziato ad avvisare gli abbonati che dal 5 al 9 maggio, “al fine di garantire misure di sicurezza, sono possibili limitazioni temporanee nel funzionamento di internet mobile e degli SMS”, raccomandando di “utilizzare il Wi-Fi”. Notifiche simili sono state inviate a San Pietroburgo da Sberbank e YOTA, spiegando le possibili limitazioni con la preparazione e lo svolgimento di eventi di massa. La scorsa settimana, il Servizio russo della BBC, citando una fonte vicina a Rostelecom, ha riferito che a Mosca il 5, 7 e 9 maggio saranno limitate tutte le comunicazioni mobili e, possibilmente, anche l’invio di SMS e persino il funzionamento delle “liste bianche”.

Comincia a firmare il fallimento del tuo giornale, ormai al capolinea. Per questa di firma invece ti spiego quanto sei ridicolo a proseguire questa linea. Anche se so non capirai mai, tronfio come sei. Capovolgi la realtà con la disinvoltura di un prestigiatore da avanspettacolo. Chiami “regalo” la pressione di Trump sull’Europa, lo stesso Trump che minaccia dazi, tenta di smantellare la NATO come ricatto e corteggia Putin come uno statista e non come un criminale di guerra Definisce “cerebrolesi” i leader europei che rifiutano di abbandonare l’Ucraina al suo destino, come se resistere all’aggressione fosse idiozia e capitolare fosse saggezza. La logica è disarmante: armare Kiev “provoca” la Russia, quindi bisogna smettere. Con lo stesso ragionamento, resistere a Hitler “provocava” la Germania meglio arrendersi subito. Poi, @marcotravaglio non spieghi mai perché la pace debba essere pagata dall’aggredito e non dall’aggressore. Non ti chiedi cosa succederebbe ai confini europei dopo una resa ucraina. Non citi mai se non con battute da bar il diritto internazionale, i trattati violati, i civili massacrati. E quando lo fai menti come su Maidan È il tuo classico editoriale-specchietto: apparentemente controcorrente, in realtà comodamente allineato con chi ha carri armati e gas. La macchina da guerra della Russia non è invincibile — e il Cremlino lo percepisce. Se la prevista parata del 9 maggio a Mosca non presenterà equipaggiamenti militari, sarà la prima volta dopo molti anni. Ora è il momento di aumentare la pressione sulla Russia attraverso sanzioni mirate ai suoi ricavi petroliferi, all’industria militare, alle banche e alla flotta ombra. Finché la Russia continuerà la sua guerra contro l’Ucraina e l’Europa, dovrà continuare anche un forte sostegno all’Ucraina. La difesa aerea, la produzione congiunta di armamenti e una cooperazione più profonda per la sicurezza europea restano essenziali per proteggere vite umane. Dobbiamo spingere la Russia verso la diplomazia.

The MAGA crowd in Washington has decided that since Europeans don’t sufficiently appreciate Trump, the American bases on the continent must go. This is the strategic reasoning of a man who burns down his own kitchen. American bases in Europe were never a favour. They are the logistical spine of every war the United States fights east of Gibraltar. Ramstein moves the cargo, Aviano launches the jets, Rota services the ships. Without them the Pentagon does not project power into the Middle East. It projects PowerPoint. The fantasy assumes the alternative is aircraft carriers gliding majestically into the Persian Gulf. That era is ending. A modern carrier is a thirteen-billion-dollar trophy that can be reduced to scrap by a couple of hundred cheap missiles fired from the Iranian coast. China noticed. The other fantasy is that America simply fights from home. Picture the alternative: twenty thousand transatlantic sorties shuttling spare parts, munitions, fuel bladders, mechanics and replacement pilots from Norfolk and Dover to wherever the war happens to be. A C-17 burns through roughly 35,000 dollars of fuel every hour it flies, and the round trip from the American east coast to the Gulf is the better part of a day. Multiply that by every bolt, every missile, every spare engine. The war becomes a sustained airborne traffic jam with the bill arriving by the second. So you need land, specifically land near the war. Modern combat aircraft are not Spitfires you fuel up and send off with a wave. An F-35 demands an entire Walmart of spare parts, a small city of technicians, climate-controlled hangars and a supply chain stretching halfway round the planet. Drones need operators, networks, satellites and a steady diet of components no carrier can store. Modern war arrives by container ship and lives in a warehouse. Close the bases, and Washington loses the warehouses. Lose the warehouses, and the next confrontation with Iran is either fought by phone or fought from Kansas with a flight schedule that bankrupts the Treasury before the first missile lands. MAGA thinks shutting Ramstein punishes Europe. It punishes America. Europe will be inconvenienced. America will be unarmed. And so, after a thousand insults, a thousand sneers, a thousand late-night posts about freeloading allies, Europe is quietly drafting the politest letter in diplomatic history. It thanks America for its service. It wishes the troops a safe journey home. It suggests, with great warmth, that Washington might now turn its attention to its neighbours in Latin America, where a fading superpower can busy itself with whatever a fading superpower busies itself with. Spain had its century. Britain had its empire. The Soviets had their parades. Each ended the same way: as a shadow of itself, with the historians left to argue, volume after volume, about precisely when the rot set in and why nobody noticed in time. Un paese da oltre 4 anni ne invade un altro massacrando il suo popolo: bambini, donne e uomini uccisi nelle loro case, nei mercati, nelle scuole e negli ospedali. Il paese invaso che si difende colpendo infrastrutture, centrali petrolifere ed elettriche. Pur potendo a sua volta colpire i civili decide di non farlo. Nonostante queste evidenze, circa un terzo degli italiani erano e sono favorevoli a non dare armi all'Ucraina. Erano e sono favorevoli a invitare a mostre e concerti artisti russi che supportano il dittatore del Cremlino. Volevano e vogliono una sostanziale resa del paese invaso. Volevano e vogliono relazioni amichevoli tra l'Italia e questa Russia. Difficile concepire una posizione piu ipocrita e meschina, degna dei fascisti che denunciavano partigiani ed ebrei alle SS.

On en parle très peu en France 🇫🇷 mais les sommets de la Communauté Politique Européenne 🇪🇺 sont une grande réussite. Ils rassemblent les pays membres de l'UE, les pays candidats et les autres (Royaume-Uni, Arménie, Azerbaïdjan, Norvège…), tous les 6 mois. Si on en parle peu en France, c'est en partie parce que c'est la France et le président Macron qui ont instigué ces sommets (d'ailleurs, observez comment Macron est presque toujours au centre des photos dans les rencontres internationales, c'est assez intéressant et il faudrait également évoquer la forte popularité du président à l'étranger). Quel intérêt ? Rassembler biannuellement l'ensemble des chefs d'Etats, de gouvernement ou a défaut les ministres des affaires étrangères pour des discussions portant sur l'intégration européenne, la sécurité, la diplomatie et pour régler des conflits, par exemple entre le Kosovo et la Serbie ou entre l'Arménie et l'Azerbaïdjan. Il est assez remarquable d'observer la présence continue de la plupart des chefs d'Etats lors de ces rencontres. Cette année, le sommet se déroule en Arménie, qui souhaite renforcer son virage vers l'Europe. Cette candidature a même été soutenue par l'Azerbaïdjan, l'Arménie soutenant en retour l'organisation d'un sommet en 2028 à Bakou. En supplément de l'Union Européenne, ces rencontres donnent une dynamique de plus à l'Europe.

Questa storia del colpo di stato in cantiere contro Nonno tirata fuori dai servizi di un non meglio paese UE non mi convince. Su 27 stati membri se ne accorge solo uno? E chi è? La Slovacchia? Gli altri dormivano? Ma poi Shoigu... La sua rete è stata smantellata pezzo per pezzo.

Without Russia (as expected) and without the United States (which is telling). Yes, the U.S. is not in Europe, but it is usually present at such major events as a special guest. After all, the Canadians are here. And not at the level of a second-tier official—Carney himself has arrived. In short: Europe is beginning to act mature and independent for the first time since the end of World War II A security dimension has been built into what was purely a political summit: everyone understands who the Russians are; the U.S. is no longer seen as a reliable security guarantor The Ukrainian delegation is no longer in a position of “we ask,” but in a position of “we offer.” This matters.

I met with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, @RobertFicoSVK, in Yerevan. Ukraine is open to constructive dialogue with Slovakia and is interested in developing strong relations. We discussed cooperation across various areas and holding a government meeting in the format of an intergovernmental commission in the near future. We spoke about exchanging visits to Kyiv and Bratislava and agreed that our teams will work out the schedule. We also addressed Ukraine’s EU membership. Importantly, Slovakia supports Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and is ready to assist us on this path. I am grateful for that.
