Aaron Balcom

Starting from a young age, during the 1990's, Aaron Balcom built a successful career as an entertainer & stage illusionist. However, it all came to an abrupt halt during the mid 2010's, while rehearsing an escape stunt for TV, leaving him temporarily and partially paralysed. He is now writing a book and embarking on speeches, which will highlight the highs and lows of his performing career, his recovery, with emphasis on inspiring people to never give up, no matter what challenges they face. All proceeds will be donated to charities and medical research. Details will follow here, as they become available.

Do You Know Some People Hate You Because Someone Lied To Them About You.

So, I am in one of my 84,731 medical appointments for the week & they tell me that there is a woman there who, although from a different type of accident & not as bad as mine, she has similar injuries to me. They tell me that they have been telling her & her family about me, my story, as well as my recovery & that if it is okay with me, that they would like to meet me. Of course, it would be an honor! We meet, we're talking for a while, she's very nice, quiet, it was mostly her parents doing the talking. They are telling me how difficult this has been, which I can relate to. I tell them to make sure to get my personal assistant's business card & if they ever need anything, to call or email her & if I can be of any assistance, I will do whatever I can. The conversation continues for a few more minutes, when the woman blurts out to me, "you're very pretty!" Um...thanks...? I think...? Ahh, you know what. I'll take it as a compliment, I've certainly been called worse. 🤣 It was an honor to meet her & her parents, she is awesome & I just know that she has the mindset to keep working, keep fighting, to never give up & that she'll cross the finish line in her recovery...!

I rented a room in an AirBNB. It’s a shared apartment, which is fine. All I care about is having a roof over my head and a room of my own. I move in tomorrow. This reminds me of some of the therapeutic equipment that I worked with during the earlier days of recovery from my accident. Amazing stuff...! This is Peter Lammer's "Standing Ovation" system that he created & I am currently working with a company to hopefully get a different system installed for a friend of mine who is having a tough time in her recovery. I can not believe I am coming down with another cold. I literally just got over one. Prior to my accident, I never got sick. I have it narrowed down to two medical facilities that I am often at, as to where I keep getting sick from. I go to these places for healing, not for these shenanigans...! I can see it now though...the headline... "Retired Actor & Stage Illusionist who survived career ending accident which caused neck, spinal, hypoxic & traumatic neurological injuries succumbs to the common cold". 🤣
