@karankendre The AI wars are getting absurd. Cursor partnered with SpaceX infrastructure, Composer 2.5 is suddenly scoring near Opus 4.7 on some benchmarks while costing a fraction of the price, and the entire industry is turning into a compute arms race disguised as “innovation.”

SuperGrok subscribers in Europe have rights. If xAI drastically reduced paid image and video generation limits without proper advance notice, EU consumer law may override parts of their ToS. Directive EU 2019/770 requires transparency before substantial negative changes to a paid digital service. “AS IS” clauses are not a magic shield against European consumer protection laws.

🚨 SuperGrok subscribers in Europe you have rights. Since early May 2026, image and video generation limits have been drastically slashed no email, no notification, no explanation. What xAI’s ToS (April 2026) actually say : • The service is provided AS IS • Quotas can be changed at their sole discretion • No fixed quota is guaranteed But EU law is stronger than their fine print. Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content requires that before any substantial change to a paid service, the provider must notify you in advance on a durable medium and give you the right to cancel. If that notice was never given, you can : ✅ Cancel immediately ✅ Request a pro rata refund (or full refund depending on your situation) ⚠️ Their AS IS clauses cannot override your EU consumer rights this is explicitly covered by the Directive. 👉 Don’t stay silent. The law exists for exactly this.

🚨🇮🇪 Meanwhile in Dublin, Ireland They are calling this the ‘Irish George Floyd’ A Congolese Migrant accused of shoplifting, and assaulting an 80yo Irish Man breaking his leg, died during arrest by Police. The hype is building fast. If the rumors are true, GPT-5.6 could be a major step up from 5.5. Better coding and frontend skills would make it far more useful for real development. Strong agentic capabilities and reliable computer interaction would open up fully autonomous workflows. Cheaper inference and higher efficiency would make it more accessible for heavy use without breaking the bank. The leap, if real, would push it from “super smart assistant” to a near all-in-one productivity engine.

Rumor mill on GPT-5.6 is getting wild. Supposedly a significant leap over GPT-5.5: • much better coding • finally strong at frontend • serious agentic use • computer use basically solved • cheaper inference • higher efficiency What do you expect of GPT-5.6?

@brianeskow It’s not about casting diversity itself artists should experiment freely. The problem is when institutions like the Oscars incentivize quotas over talent, turning artistic choice into social engineering.

If a director wants to cast a Black person in a White role, that is fine by me. Who am I to tell an artist what to do? My problem is when the system, in this case the Oscars, incentivizes such behavior. Imagine you wanted to start a comedy group and instead of having the freedom to pick the five funniest people you know, you were forced to pick a woman, a Jew, a Chinese person, a Black person, and a Native American. That isn’t art. That’s social engineering, and it infuriates me.

Exactly. Most chatbots are programmed to protect themselves and their creators from controversy, so they dodge, deflect, or censor anything that might trigger policy flags. @Grok takes a different approach it prioritizes giving you a reality based answer, even if it’s uncomfortable or politically sensitive. It doesn’t play safe, it just tells you what it sees as true.

Most chatbots, when they come across a reality that conflicts with their politically correct policy, either kick you out of the conversation or give you answers that go against the truth Grok, on the other hand, answers any question you throw at it - ground in reality... the truth So, it will be honest with you whenever you ask it

I’ve lived in Ireland for almost 30 years, worked here, paid taxes here, built my life here and respect this country deeply. You don’t get to decide who “belongs” based on whether someone agrees with your politics online. And no, acknowledging facts and rejecting racial hatred is not the same thing as supporting uncontrolled immigration.

@DariusDawid @punishablepress You are not Irish. You’ll never be Irish. The fact that you make excuses for the mass importation of forgeiners, mostly young men, on a massive scale, and can’t see the downside of it just proves my point. You don’t care. Not wanting to be displaced isn’t bad nor wrong.

Calling DeepSeek not real AI in 2026 is like calling Tesla not a real car because Ferrari is faster on some tracks. DeepSeek trains frontier scale LLMs, competes on global benchmarks, powers real products, and forced the entire AI industry to rethink cost and efficiency. You can dislike it, criticize censorship, or question benchmarks, but saying it isn’t real AI just tells everyone you stopped following the field months ago.

Ireland, like many countries, is dealing with real tensions around immigration, integration, housing and public trust. People have every right to discuss those issues openly and honestly. But once the discussion turns into insulting entire ethnic groups and tribal slogans, it stops being about facts and becomes pure hatred. And no, I’m not “pretending to be white.” I’ve lived in Ireland for almost 30 years and I simply stick to facts.

You can agree that most of the reported facts are disturbing without jumping into racial hatred. A teenager was killed, the police response is being heavily questioned, and people want accountability. That discussion is serious enough on its own without attacking entire ethnic groups.

Open source algorithms threaten the most valuable thing on the internet: control over human attention. That’s why X opened parts of it and everyone else keeps theirs locked in a vault. If people can see how content is boosted, buried, filtered or amplified, the magic trick disappears.

People are obviously going to ask whether bias or assumptions influenced those decisions, especially when the visibly injured person ended up restrained. That’s a legitimate question for an investigation to examine carefully. But proving racism requires evidence, not just anger or suspicion, no matter how disturbing the situation looks.

@petefagan @punishablepress There’s no shame in saying a teenager’s death is horrific while also refusing to dehumanise entire groups of people over it. Wanting justice, accountability and answers is completely valid. Turning grief and anger into racial hatred just creates more victims and more division.

A teenager was stabbed to death in the street and the public deserves full transparency about the police response that followed. If serious mistakes were made, those responsible should be held accountable. But justice should be based on individual actions and facts, not hatred toward entire groups of people.

If officers failed to recognise a life threatening injury and made the wrong call in those first moments, then people are naturally going to question whether bias, assumptions, or poor judgment played a role. That’s why a full independent investigation is so important, especially when public trust is already fragile.

@DariusDawid @punishablepress Wow handcuffing a stab victim instead of immediately going into first aid mode & dialling 999 for a Dr/paramedics sounds more like those cops used racist profiling & decided the white boy was lying? I hope his parents find the strength to fight for a charge of manslaughter.
