Year 7's exploring the concept of algorithms, decomposition and abstraction. It all started with a paper plane...

Spirograph in the 21st Century. YR7's using Scratch to be 'Creative' learners by 'identifying repeating patterns and using loops to make algorithms more concise'; all part of the New Curriculum for Wales.

YR9 students hard at it, creating a collaborative presentation on a topic of their choice. We've focused on "Ambitious and Capable" learners within the 4 purposes of the new Curriculum for Wales.

Last Friday, spent with a splendid group of YR9 students. The girls visited @colegcambria to take part in various Computing challenges with @CyberFirstWales. They worked through data analysis, 3D modelling / coding, and cryptography. They were of course, a credit to our school.

Last week was our very Successful 'Darland Sevens Super League' around 500 pupils took part in the tournament & over 150 netball and football matches were played. All pupils taking part were outstanding showing real sportsmanship & determination throughout the week. @darland_pe

An announcement regarding the phased return of Years 10 & 11, and catch-up opportunities for Years 7-9 prior to Easter will be made to all parents tomorrow morning. Unfortunately Headteachers were not informed in advance of the announcement from WG, so we are planning today.
