I've spent my week in London working with the kids from Phoenix Arch school, helping them to create large-scale sculptures of sea creatures. All of the kids here have additional needs, they've helped one another, worked hard, and enjoyed themselves. 🙂 darrellwakelam.com

@JamesCo43683190 I cut every one of those cardboard circles out 😆😆😆 half my dinnertime right there. The kids glued them on and painted them though. 🙄 I get all the good jobs.

@NatureBookish Thanks, these were all made using the same basic skills and materials, it takes a bit of time and some trial and error but the kids work it out and begin to innovate. 😁

@DarrellWakelam Truly! It’s the only respect in which I miss the pandemic…I used to switch my camera off during v long university senate meetings, and do a bit of sketching while listening. You are so talented. I hope you’ll make time for your own work as well as facilitating others.

Our two cats, like most cats, like to get in the way of my journal when I’m writing. I sometimes take advantage of the sketching opportunity, and they find their way into the book.
