@DarrenHowards @Leviauu For veins I just feel it out lol. Here's a few tips. Also keep in mind that if you're using lineart to keep the vein's lineweight weaker than the lineweight of the rest of the body to not distract too much. Alongside that if you're shading just shade it how you would any cylinder

@Mark0ut_ @Leviauu Thnks for the quick and detailed reply bro! The tape analogy fits pretty well. It's what really caught my eye on how realistically this was done, especially the veins. How do you know where the veins connect? and... how do you render them? I noticed how you only outline it.
English

@DarrenHowards @Leviauu And also for the specific pose I used what I learned from studying poses. I know that in such a pose where the back is bent that the ribcage would stick out a little on a lean person, while the abs would act like "tape" in a sense, connecting the ribs and pelvis. Hope this helps.

@Mark0ut_ @Leviauu How do you know when to show certain details such as the lower ribs on the girl with the blue hair when she's resting and stuff? This is all anatomy studies right? Also how do you know where the light is supposed to go for rendering/shading?
Ps.: how long have you been drawing

@LionInCrisis @tigertwting Bro's gonna hunt you down lol

@schewiener @JosephUlyanov Still, it looks awesome tho!!

@WhackAttack18 @natalie_corsair I just imagine if it was a NAT geo video, and David Attenborough voiced it.

@INUGATAMI That's awesome! Hope freelance stuff's been going great — I'm looking forward to seeing what you've cooked up in the future. :D
English

@DarrenHowards thank you very much! I've got myself quite busy with some freelance work that I hope soon to show what I am participating on, there will be more work in the future once I have more time for myself ^^
English

@INUGATAMI I’ve seen a few of your comms — really impressive work! I only started following you recently, but your style’s already stood out to me. Haven’t seen much from you lately — hope you’ve been doing well!
English

@DarrenHowards for me it actually works either way, I can actually start with a pose and begin to position and angle them to make it look more interesting, and then shapes can get involved after I'm committed, or I can also freestyle more by starting with shapes and continue to refine them!
English

@INUGATAMI I see, good to know! I’m currently learning how to draw, and when I watched the timelapse, I was both amazed and confused — it felt like the drawing just appeared out of thin air, lol. Do you usually start with a pose or a shape idea first?
English

@DarrenHowards thank you very much! appreciate the observation ^^
and while yes I did trade the more rigid blocky fundamental stuff, I do still return to it for the sake of expanding my grasp, much like creative interpretation to favor the looks and aesthetics
English

@INUGATAMI Wow, your art feels so natural and fluid! When you mentioned fundamentals, did you mean stuff like gesture, anatomy, proportions, etc.? Also curious — did you move away from blocky builds to a more gesture‑driven style? It looks astounding!
English

@VeskorArt yes indeed! fundamentals aren't law, they are rules in which you can manipulate better the more proficient you are, to find balance in both appeal and technicality is the real fun ^^

@TheShipArchitec Regarding military caps, are you going to make a Japanese empire officer cap?
English

@TheShipArchitec I suggest that you make the Japanese Type 90 helmet for your next UGC accessory.
