The Triclopyr is working great on 6-7 hillside. We’ll need another app soon. The maintenance is of concern. The question I ask myself “do we have the staff”? We’ll see when the turf takes off.

I had a concern regarding the sod around the greens about not being able to put from the sod. The areas area marked GUR & you are allowed relief from the areas. Once the turf is established we’ll start to maintain it properly. We have to be very cautious w/ Meyer Zoysia.

A frosty 37 degrees on this fine April 9th morn. Checking set up & will remain @ pin 6. Mowing & rolling greens. Spraying for pythium control. Some root rot showing up on 13 green (good weather for it after the weekend rain. Mowing & blowing fwys. Starting early prep for MG.

The course is being set up for the day @ pin 6. Blowing & rolling greens due to topdressing aerating the troubled areas. Finishing up app. raking bunkers, keeping up w/ the rough. We H20 green heavily last night to drowned the topdressing & will pick up mowing again tomorrow.

Great start to our day w/ an aerator broke down, rough mower down, buffalo blower down…6 hours left. I wonder what else can go wrong today! Wow! Good morning Monday! Looks like we’re going to aerate the troubled areas & call it a day.

Winter kill on the greens is coming back sooner than anticipated. 4 Aerification’s & Sigma Bio Organics is working wonders. Give the turf a little O2 a diatomic gaseous molecule that is abundant in the atmosphere and plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism in plants.

These are my assistants working hard, training the crew. I couldn’t do it without them. They’re extremely supportive and love what they do. That’s half the battle. When hire, hire those with passion before knowledge, it’s your job to teach them. If they care teaching comes easy.

61 degree start here at the Stone. Course set up @ pin 3. Rolling greens, finishing tees, raking bunkers. H20 the new sod using Oars wetting agent tablets. Getting Command (compost) on the sod to aid in moisture retention & improve soil chemistry. Spraying beds w/ pre-m 8-18 left

Spencer (spray tech) is getting all our beds sprayed w/ a non selective herbicide and pre-m. This will kill any existing weeds & prevent them from coming back.

Early spring is an exciting time for golfers, but the grass at most courses is still slowly waking up. That means most practice ranges will be using mats until better growing conditions arrive👇

Good morning NorthStone! A beautiful 60° start. We are vert cutting and top dressing greens continuing the sod work along the collars. Fixing the collar dam on number three and working on irritation. getting the rough cut you gotta love Monday maintenance day.

A gorgeous 63 day start to this fine Fri. morn. Checking set up @ pin 4. Mowing & rolling greens. Green HOC is down to .115. They’re still going to be a little slower than we’d like, but remember it’s March. Mowing & blowing fwys & as always dealing w/ irritation/irrigation.

Great morn NS! Course is being set up @ pin 4. Green mowed w/ the HOC being lowered after today’s cut to .115. Greens will be slow its March ladies & gentleman w/ some winter kill. We will have fast greens just be patient please. The guys are starting the sod project this morn.

Just got home from a long trip to Statesville. This is a 45 min ride, however, it turned into a 3.5 hour trip. I missed the mgt. meeting, but we did get free product for the new sod that arrived today. We have our work cut out for us tomorrow.

The 8 pallets of Sod has arrived to install in number 1 fwy and 1-3 collars. Once this is completed we’ll continue to address areas in need.

This what a 31 year old system produces. Lack of head to head coverage. Constant problems w/ leaky heads, bad solenoids, wore out gears & the list goes on. The problem is irr. costs an exorbitant amount of $ & most golf courses can’t survive without it.

Rise & Shine! Course set up @ pin 5. Rolling & mowing greens. Topdressing behind mowers w/ kiln dried sand. The kiln dried gets into the canopy much better. Spraying tees w/ Fe & PGR.
