Chainsaw man was never about Denji chasing his dreams, but the hollowness of achieving them and realizing that they can't replace the simple joys of life like family and friendship. To me, that panel of him dropping the chainsaw to save Asa represents the pinnacle of his journey

But manga rarely if ever end well in my experience haha, and I think much of that is to do with the weekly episodic nature of it. It's hard to write a satisfying ending when the planet is giving you endless timely feedback.

So yeah, I like the ending haha. Was it flawless? Hell no. Did Part 2 make promises that it didn't keep? Unquestionably.
