@Tactx_ Arsenal 😂😂 defensively yeah fantastic but not on the same arena as those other teams
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda We’re talking about Salah remember. You are right though they have fallen generally and also did last season too. Need the profile of players to go at it. Would also love Wharton or someone of that ilk to replace what we lost with Trent’s passing from deep.
English

@DarylVerner Liverpool's PPDA numbers have fallen 2nd best in Klopp's last season to 8th this season.
I suspect I've provided as much publicly available data possible on this subject.
English

Beyond his failures as a coach this season, he also has to go because he fundamentally doesn't understand the club or the fans.

"I must have done a lot of things wrong" 😤 Arne Slot admits that it's 'not a nice feeling' to feel unhappiness from Liverpool supporters as his side prepare to face Galatasaray at Anfield 🔴
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda Not whole sale changes and not under such circumstances. The team just imploded. The good thing is we have quality there we just need to add to it in those areas and I’m confident we will be back.
English

@DarylVerner Sure, but they're professional footballers, departures of teammates is an accepted part of the trade.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda The closest thing to intensity here is P per 90 bit again this only tells us how often not how aggressively or quickly they are pressing. You need PPDA, time to pressure, sprint distance while pressing, and pressures per out-of-possession minute. intensity not frequency/outcomes
English

@DarylVerner That's fairly presumptuous mate, what stats would prove my point to you, out of interest?
And yes, it does measure intensity, what do you think totals/90 adjusted for possession are? The more of an action in a p90 basis, the more intense (often the action is occuring) it is.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda That’s your opinion. I believe he will turn it around if given the right tools. Right back, DM, 2 elite wingers. Me be a few of them on. Only one o would consider is Luis Enrique.
English

@DarylVerner I blame the players loads as well, lots of change needed for sure.
But that means there's only going to be more turnover and churn, something Slot hasn't been able to deal with. All the more reason to part ways and let him go elsewhere.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda They’re still important members of a group. Imagine turning up to work and half your colleagues had left. They all shared a changing room and travelled together.
English

@DarylVerner I agree he wanted Trent and Diaz to stay, Kelleher (as much as I like him) is a 2nd choice GK and is much of a muchness.
Including Diogo he lost 3 top players he would have wanted to keep, not 9. Let's not be disingenuous here.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda You don’t understand your stats mate or what contributes to these numbers and what is excluded. Again doesn’t measure intensity
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda Bc they’re a new team and still haven’t gelled together. On different pages and not cohesive. That will take time and personnel. A lot of pre Madonna’s in the team currently. Lazy. I’m lying lots of blame on the players.
English

@DarylVerner If they can't run then why is he setting them up with 40 yards between the 1st and 3rd lines?
Again, it's a coaching issue.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda Of course bc even Kelleher was fantastic for us and a great squad member. We needed 3/4 and lost 9.
Exactly, some of it and nowhere near all. He wanted Diaz to stay and Trent and even Jota. Too many on bandwagon. Hasn’t been given tools
English

@DarylVerner We lost 9 if you're counting a backup GK, and a bunch of players the manager himself did not rate and wanted rid off.
He certainly shoulders some (not all, or even the majority) of the blame for our recruitment.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda No he’s not!! He’s covering more distance but not sprints or turnovers. Total distance doesn’t tell whole story. No he hasn’t - what games? Again I agree hate the +1 at the back
English

@DarylVerner Salah is pressing more this season than last, next.
Frimpong, when played as a RB has absolutely inverted, next.
The rest defence is a great example of what I'm talking about, the additional man in the backline contributes to our ineffective press, that's a coaching error.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda Agree - except I wanted 2 wingers in summer with Salah legs going and AFCON.
He's trying to platform them. Not many managers get much more juice out of this players bc they can’t run and teams just go direct against us. This team isn’t built to go direct or for transitions
English

@DarylVerner You're letting him off the hook entirely here, I'm afraid.
I'm sympathetic to the non-ideal level of personnel, after all I was calling for another LW, DM and CB in the summer.
However, the job of a coach is to maximize his existing group, he is failing to platform them.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda top manager where he’s lost 9 players in the summer. We already needed 3/4 players without any departures and then we lost 9. Give it a rest. Frimpong, Bradley, Isak all injured. Need time to settle and create a new team. RB and lack of wingers biggest problems as Szlob moved
English

@DarylVerner He's failed to platform an ageing Salah and a less physically capable frontline in comparison to last season.
He could do this buy utilising widthholding FBs, but instead has misprofiled Kerkez/Frimpong as inverted FBs.
I could go on, but I'd be here for a while, sadly.
English

@ElNino9Aleyenda All of those things mentioned are personnel. going to a mid block is bc teams don’t play football against us they just play long and direct and we weren’t picking up 2nd/3rd balls. aerial duels poor too. Injuries all over the park and too much change. Lack pace & energy all over
English

@DarylVerner For me, numerous.
He's killed our counterpress and aggression out of possession. This leaves our midfield/defence to be vulnerable, to more athletic opponents. (Evidence linked).
When players are struggling physically (Alexis), he endlessly persists.

Slot is a criminal, we've gone from being the 3rd best counterpressing team in 24/25 to the 16th best this season, according to the Athletic. There is a fundamental issue with his style of play, he has no long term future at this club. He's also massacred our high regains...
English

@DarylVerner One of the things I truly admire about him is the way he's dealt with the Jota tragedy.
Klopp was direct, Rafa was direct, Kenny was brutally direct. Directness is not the issue whatsoever.
I agree on the personnel, it does not provide absolution for the manager of his errors.
English

It’s interesting how the entire English media have given the talks about Arne Slot getting sacked a total blackout. Liverpool as a club are not getting criticised for their performances after spending £500M in the summer on a title winning squad. Why do Liverpool and Spurs get treated differently by the English media?
English

@rudkin_abigail He’s not wrong. If you aren’t going to stay for the duration of the whole game don’t go. Klopp spoke about this when he first came in - stop leaving the stadium early.
