I swear people are too comfortable on the internet nowadays hoping to get big by clout chasing.
Sure you may get noticed for a while, but that attention dies just as quickly as it came + now people will remember you cause you did something stupid/silly.

Grab a cool/interesting screenshot from your video and add some text if you want.
Boom, free thumbnail and it'll be relatable to your content!

As a viewer, I skip all videos with AI thumbnails cause it never accurately portrays the content of the video.
Scuffed human made thumbnails also have a charm to them~

@Liath_Art Tech bros are a whole other topic.
Some people don't understand what extent anti AI means from person to person.
An artist may label themself as No AI but still accept refs while another won't. This all could be avoided w/ a simple message or just kindly decline the request

@DashabellaVT No one is telling you you can't hire an artist if you want to move away from AI. Either find an artist that is fine with AI references, or find references that arent AI (which is not that difficult btw).

I'm anti AI but there are better ways to direct people away from using it.
Maybe this wasn't the intended tone but it read very hostile. We're more likely to move people away from AI if we gently explain the problem and we help them correct the issue.

@mavluck56 The client here did not need to be publicly blasted.
Instead, the artist could explain that they don't accept AI refs and instead ask them for a mood board, image references, etc.
If the client respected them, they'd comply. If not then that's it.

@mavluck56 Nobody can deny that we wont ever go back to what used to be. What we can do is smooth that transition as much as possible.
What isn't helping is publicly shaming and putting down someone who likely made a genuine mistake. I'd leave and never return if someone did that to me.

The whole Love and Deepspace situation has reminded me how nothing we have is permanent anymore. Content can come and go in the blink of an eye, and content people spent money on is suddenly altered or censored.
