There's SO much disingenuous ragebaiting and misinformation going around about @StarWarsOutlaws and @Ubisoft just to get extra clicks, like this video about paying for positive reviews through a third party agency. There was NO review process for any of the videos I've posted. I was also approached directly by Ubisoft, not through a third party. In the interest of full transparency and disclosure, There was a boilerplate NDA for the embargo, very standard for these kinds of early previews, and a list of WIP menus and story elements they didn't want show in footage, also pretty standard. The only part that was a little strange was the 20 minute cap on footage, which doesn't seem to be the rule for every youtuber who covered it such as with @thaRadBrad. I suspect very large youtubers were given more unique parameters to fit their content style. With a big release like this from a big publisher, my guess is that they reached out to creators in a number of different ways, some through a third party. There's no evidence to suggest that Ubisoft stipulated any kind of positive review from said third party. Third party marketing companies have incentive to produce positive videos for better engagement stats, and that's probably where this is coming from. youtu.be/nTkpj_SReVc?si…
