World of Warcraft, OG years during Wrath there was a hard mode only boss, Algalon the Observer, that was only available for 1 hour per week and only available for the 25 man raid instance. MILLIONS of players never beat it because it was hard and took dedication. Even AFTER when it was current content and guilds were decked out in end-game expansion gear from Icecrown, guilds STILL couldn’t beat it. There is no difference here. Would you like to beat it? Sure. Should you feel ENTITLED? No. Too bad. So sad. Either improve, get lucky, or get someone to carry you to experience it. Failing that, the studio owes us nothing. You can experience every other aspect of the game you like. Getting clapped in PvP is part of the game that everyone bought and knew they were getting that when they bought it. Tail wagging the dog argument, imo, and it’s likely I’ll ALSO never see it. That isn’t bungie’s fault. That is my lack of patience.

@WishDragonProps @lulusoccer Cause it’s still $5K of your gear and not just free. They’ll never make it free cause it’d ruin the experience. You’d have more trolls and people not caring coming in with free kits. That’s what regular maps are for

@lulusoccer So funny how people are extremely anti sponsor kit, yet I've basically been doin just that. Saved up specifically high value "fodder" weapons I know nobody is lookin to loot just to break that 5k barrier. Then once we clear the first room I swap to whatever drops.

The consensus seems to be it’s hard - it needs to be that way: Not asking at all for Cryo to be nerfed Improvements I think would be better are lower entry cost - let me sponsor kit it! Cryo key contracts - so if the one gets looted by a random teammate I have a path to keys

The game is the best extraction shooter released ever. I’ve played the majority of them and the only extraction shooter that kept me hooked was Arc Raiders for a few months. This is better than arc raiders hands down. More competitive and actual events that make you bring your best gear to

@lulusoccer It needed to be good. It was not. Player numbers speak volumes. Less people online now, then on Wednesday. Less people played during the weekend of a content drop than during the week…

@lulusoccer No sponsor kit, no free ride for end game content. Lower it to 3K but you don’t get the best loot. 5K and 8K entry cost for higher value loot.

self res and bag revives are really toxic coming from tarkov. it feels like there is truly no way to win a fight by playing better with worse gear. In tarkov if you hit a few lucky shots you can hit the jackpot in M if you have worse gear you just auto lose 99% of the time

Posted this on a dev post as feedback. -Look at peak hours for players during the week and open it a few hours for that timeframe. -Have Tiered Cryo runs ($3K, $5K, $8K). Higher tiers = Stronger enemies, better loot, higher RNG drop rates for keys and special items. This will ease the non hardcore (#Dadgamers) into learning the map and cut down on running into god geared shotty and grenade rushers. It’s more inclusive for everyone to experience it at different levels but won’t give the best items for people running lower tiers. -Slow the Rate of fire for shotguns and reduce its damage. It should be a finisher weapon not an instakill that everyone is running. This makes the game a shotgun fest like every other FPS ever made. You’re not that, you’re Marathon, break away from shotguns ruining games lol. SMG fights are more fun and take more skill for close quarters. Don’t hamstring the game with shotguns being a crutch for high tiered players.

Congratulations to all the runners who’ve been battling it out in the floating death fridge we call Cryo Archive! We’ve been watching and ingesting all the thoughts and feedback that we’re hearing, aggregating it and taking it down in notes. After this weekend we’ll spend some time looking into feedback and thinking of the next iterations we want to make: Main topics we’ve noted so far: - Scheduling : options for players who can’t play on weekends - Solos : is there any way to play this map without joining a crew? - Subroutines: can subroutines be more guaranteed as a drop from vaults? Any of these may take some time to figure out so I can’t guarantee quick solutions here but we’ll definitely discuss these topics as a team this week. Thanks for sticking with us as we evolve the game, and helping us fight the good fight against the cyborgs, robots, and aliens!

@JOverrated The thrill for me is beating a team with all purple or gold shields that rush you with shotguns, 29 grenades, 7 bubble shields, and try to spam melee builds. Overconfident with little skill, relying on gear to dominate players. Cryo is perfect for kiting into chokepoints.

We identified and fixed an issue where runners could equip larger-than-expected stacks of equipment (grenades, ammo boxes, etc.). This has been resolved with a server-side fix. For now, if you hold a stack of equipment greater than supported, the extra items will be lost upon infil. In the future, we will fix the UI error that allows these larger-than-expected stack sizes to occur. The fix that is now deployed will also reduce the rate of anteater errors in-run.

I thought long and hard about this schedule for about 5 minutes. Have Cryo open and then close every 24 hours and also open ALL weekend. So Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday OPEN. This gives people time to gear up on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. PvP can be open on the same schedule. I think this might please most people but obviously someone will jump in here and be like OMG I work on all those days lol

FYI: Here's the current schedule for Cryo/Ranked. Cryo: Unlocks at 10 AM PT on Friday (first opens on Friday 3/20) Closes at 10 AM PT on Monday (first closes on Monday 3/23) Ranked: Unlocks at 10 AM PT on Saturday (first opens on Saturday 3/21) Closes at 10 AM PT on Tuesday (first closes on Tuesday 3/24) Once again, as we see and learn more we're open to iterating on the schedule in future updates.
