🇮🇱🇺🇸 Israel's Transport Minister Miri Regev just told American refueling planes they can't land at Ben Gurion, right as the U.S. wants them back. Israel Airports Authority reportedly issued an emergency directive barring U.S. refuelers from landing, a move believed to come from Regev's office. The problem is the civilian airport. Around 30 American refuelers are already parked at Ben Gurion, and the Transport Ministry says roughly 50,000 July flight tickets get cancelled if the planes don't clear out. Regev's order caps the number at 20. Now the ministries are turning on each other, with Transport accusing the Defense Ministry of failing to prepare for the refuelers' return as the war with Iran reignites. The irony writes itself.
