@Dat_Jebus
I have a lot of hot takes. People who disagree, typically just have bad ones.

@_DannyBrody_ @EmpireEnemyy Im saying essentially that a brand new dead space would both cost more and sell less than both of those titles.
Alien isolation had an weak initially period yeah, but it has a pre-existing audience from a large IP and even that wasn't enough.
Chuck is right about the genre.
English

@Dat_Jebus @EmpireEnemyy Because RE is a much bigger IP that’s my point
Also Alien Isolation underperformed, idunno where u got the idea that game was successful, there was a reason it never got a sequel until now recently.
English

Dead Space Remake sold so fucking well what numbers are you even talking about anymore
“Yes we need 2 BILLION SALES and 50 paid cosmetic bundles for it to be worth it !!!!” Fuck you
IGN@IGN
Dead Space producer suggests we won't get Dead Space 4: "The numbers just aren't there." bit.ly/4eHp0sS
English

@FigureRobie I kinda wish we could have just stayed with super Saiyan.
Most iconic transformation in media.
Relegated to an underpowered "I'm either toying with my enemy or out of juice" move.
Y'know we're probably never going to see super Saiyan Gohan again.
English

A lot of us were highly retarded throughout all of Halo development.

MCC has proven over the test of time it can hold a playerbase better than infinite.
They shoulda focussed on it forever ago however it doesn’t make money and also directly competes with their product that does.
With even a little support I think MCC woulda have held a sizable increase in players
new playlists/rewards, attempting to deal with cheating issues, possibly officially adding in user generated modded maps/mods to match making. All of this would have gone a long way to keeping more players playing
Jordan117@Jordan456257099
It's pretty shocking how Microsoft neglected MCC. I have a Halo itch but unfortunately Infinite is trash, Halo 5 is sweaty, MCC has some of the worst UI/matchmaking system in a game. Also constant cheaters. The only thing I can realistically play is BTB but the map rotations are terrible with Reach and 3 being the only thing being played.
English

@MILSIMPRODIGY I mean I use the sniper cause it looks cool.
Who wants to sit and snipe at 150-200m unless some challenge demands it?
English

@batdollars @_DannyBrody_ @EmpireEnemyy No I get that.
But I also think developing a brand new dead space game would cost significantly more than a remake of resident evil.
For starters you need a combat system that isn't practically on rails, which astronomically better AI for the enemies.
English

@Dat_Jebus @_DannyBrody_ @EmpireEnemyy They know RE is a more popular IP that’s their point. They brought up RE4R to highlight how out of touch EA are and how 15 million for Dead Space was a ridiculous goal as not even RE hits those numbers
English

@ICARUS_AIM @Yakiniku_Party @SorehaNick No you misunderstand lmao.
We're looking at what's imo the best gunplay out of any recent game.
I think the gunplay in BF6 is a very small problem for BF6.
To the point where it's an odd priority to have.
Outside of the TR7 and VCR the impact of the patch was minor.
English

I swear casuals like anything that good players hate. The random recoil direction is something they should straight up hate too but some how they love it.
I swear DICE could add Omni-movement from BO7 complete with the wall jump and if good players hate it, they’d treat it like the second coming of Christ.
English

@jnumba19 @GamingNextDoor It was a lot of charge up time for a beam that lost to the Kamehameha.
At that point you might as well just use final flash right.
English

@ClockworkAvatar @KaiKai2492 My guy thats kinda proving what i was saying.
The protagonist is pure evil incarnate but because of the setting he's put in a good light.
Almost everyone he encounters love him. Even antagonists.
Thats so wild considering what he does.
English

@Dat_Jebus @KaiKai2492 that's not even a good example, he's definitely the lesser of all the evils of that world.
English

@SorehaNick @Yakiniku_Party Map design,
Vehicle progression.
Attachment system
Challenges.
Mode bloat.
A big problem Dice has is the inability to do incremental changes right.
Its always from one extreme to the other.
Overcorrections galore.
But primarily maps.
Bad maps negatively affect everything imo.
English

@Yakiniku_Party @SorehaNick No, thats fair.
I was talking about more than just the recoil change from the start. I should have assumed you were too.
But i'd still maintain the gunplay is a very minor problem compared to everything else.
English

@Dat_Jebus @SorehaNick You're utterly daft if you think random recoil is the only significant step backwards in terms of gameplay design, and especially only limited to BF6.
English

@Yakiniku_Party @SorehaNick -royally fuck up
-its a minor recoil change to automatics.
Honestly man cant we just complain about the maps instead. You want the glory days of BF back, i personally think thats the number one issue we need to tackle.
Map quality.
English

@Dat_Jebus @SorehaNick And yet prior games had no issue populating and staying relevant for years.
Yet now some braindead tourists think they deserve to royally fuck up something they don't care about because the undiscerning sheep are more abundant.
English

@SorehaNick @Yakiniku_Party I think if BF4 released as it was, today, it would receive several patches due to sheer demand.
You see this argument from the halo fanbase a lot aswell. Yeah halo 3 sure was great 15 years ago.
English

@Dat_Jebus @Yakiniku_Party Because BF4 was a complete failure and is unplayable right?
English

@Yakiniku_Party @SorehaNick Okay but a vast chasm of a skill gap isnt actually a good thing if you want to be able to find matches.
Maybe in like hyper competitive games like CS that would work.
But in battlefield? notoriously one of the more casual shooters out there?
You're gambling with the playerbase.
English

@Dat_Jebus @SorehaNick People who love multiplayer FPS like mechanics that increase skill gaps which in turn makes a game unique to learn and master, and rewards their time investment? What a startling revelation!
English

@SorehaNick I'm just stating the intention behind the change.
If it needs further adjustments, I'm sure they'll keep working on it.
I still think its better gunplay than most other games out atm.
English

@Dat_Jebus No, you are saying that because of the good players (a small pop) that gunplay should suck. And on top of all that you show you know nothing because smgs still beam...
English

@_DannyBrody_ @EmpireEnemyy but to be fair resident evil is also a giant of an IP.
I mean alien isolation is another easy example.
But these IP's have a much different pull than dead space does.
Dead space 4 could be genuinely a great game, im not really sure it could sell like RE4R did.
English

@EmpireEnemyy Apparently they wanted the game to reach 15 million copies to meet their expectations
For reference sakes, RE4R (One of the highest selling horror games of all time) just hit 10 million sells, that tells you alone how insanely out of touch EA is.
English

@EmpireEnemyy Idk, it kinda makes sense to me.
When he says back in the day the game would need 5 units to keep going, while today its closer to 15... I mean yeah.
If the new game isnt an improvement in every single way, we'll complain.
And its just reality that horror games have a ceiling.
English

@SorehaNick Bit overly dramatic about a minor change but ok.
Automatic fire needed adjustments.
Especially if maps are gonna be larger and more open going forward.
Being beamed across the field by an SMG isnt really good for the game.
Its good for your K/D. Not the game.
English

@Dat_Jebus So just screw the gunplay for everyone because of the minority of people? Maybe like <10%?
English
