Qualifiers have caught me off guard as thought it started tomorrow but very surprised to see Anton Kazakov at 8/1 and 5/6 +5.5 frames. Emery a classy player for round 1 but Kazakov won the European Championship and U21 event last month.

@win_tips On this season's form Higgins is overpriced. Obvious concern is whether he can last out physically in a tournament like this.

The World Snooker Championship is staying at the Crucible. The tournament will remain in Sheffield until at least 2045. The event will stay at the Crucible in its current guise until 2028 and then return - after one or two editions elsewhere - to a revamped 1,500 seat arena.
