At #SWAC Media Day, Southern University Football Head Coach Marshall Faulk said the quiet part out loud about FCS-to-FBS transfers: "The next level is no longer the NFL. We get poached by the FBS."

@Elev_Ate_Her @mikesaunders 28 FCS to FBS transferred drafted in the last 2 years. Thats 28 out of 514 total picks through two drafts. Thats 5.4%.
@DataDrivenHBCU of the 28 this guy spoke of, how many were FCS HBCU transfers? And how many were drafted in late rounds? Preferably after 5.

The biggest quarrel with this mentality is that it spreads quickly. It spreads so far that it becomes Norm. Facing the reality of today is one thing. Normalizing it is another.
Once Its normalized and you provide a connected voice like this to it, it’s accepted as truth.

@slythesportsguy @InsideHBCUFball Lots of barriers for MHC. The biggest one would be Title IX. In a world where schools are eliminating sports to save money, they’d have to add a few women’s programs just to be considered, which also means more scholarships. Full time coaches, not PT coaches. It’s a lot man.

I'd bet the over on Morehouse joining the MEAC for one simple reason. I don't think Morehouse Men are satisfied with being D2. They don't want to be seen as a little brother. They will find the money to move up.

BREAKING: Texas Southern has released its official football schedule for the 2026 season. The Southern game will be at Reliant Stadium and remainder of the Tigers home games will be at Thorne Stadium.
