Error in `data_color()` at .../tabsplots.R:1300:2: ! `method` must be one of "auto", "numeric", "bin", "quantile", or "factor", not "bins". ℹ Did you mean "bin"? Insane error reporting in gt package of R. Thumbs up to @riannone #rstats must retweet

@ClementDelangue Doomers are sucking up the oxygen on topics like this instead. Parents want to ground the flights while folks are learning how to ride the bike without training wheels on around a quiet cul-de-sac

How is Falcon fully open-source for commercial use not trending on hackernews? Silicon Valley has sometimes a way to avoid things that don't fit their narrative (in this instance open-source AI)

Error in `+.gg`: ! Cannot use `+` with a single argument ℹ Did you accidentally put `+` on a new line? This is insane level of error catching. Kudos @hadleywickham ...you are closing in on chatgpt from the human side. #rstats

@joshuabrowder Over the past few months, incorporating ChatGPT into my daily routine has unexpectedly enhanced my writing abilities, resulting in a more precise writing style. Additionally, it has assisted me in conquering my reading block, allowing me to become a better reader as well.

Here it is! Using the DoNotPay ChatGPT Plugin, I asked the A.I to cancel my gym membership. It immediately drafted a legal notice to cancel, e-signed it and connected with USPS to mail it, all without leaving the conversation. The first subscription cancelled using ChatGPT!

@AAOM116 regex supports a vast variety of patterns including full word pattern. You have to learn regex.

Hi #Rstat community, I'm working on NLP, and I was wondering if their is a way to create a matrix with one-hot encoding, with value 1 if a token is in a sentence and no otherwise. The grepl function seems to have a hard time with words like 'art'...

#rstats the biggest pain of R is this: Figuring out the arguments of a function with pass through parameters often shown as . . . Why can't package authors include those arguments explicitly in the documentation of their package?

I'm speechless. Not peer-reviewed yet but a submitted paper. The 'presented images' were shown to a group of humans. The 'reconstructed images' were the result of an fMRI output to Stable Diffusion. In other words, #stablediffusion literally read people's minds. Source 👇

Mastering these 3 kinds of math will take your data science skills to the next level: - data numeracy (knowing which algorithms to use, what the common data issues are, what kinds of assumptions are reasonable) - probability - mainstream math (linear algebra, calculus, etc)

My new favorite thing - Bing's new ChatGPT bot argues with a user, gaslights them about the current year being 2022, says their phone might have a virus, and says "You have not been a good user" Why? Because the person asked where Avatar 2 is showing nearby

@ChBurkhart Oh, walk is used all the time when output is written to files and not returned, unlike the map family where output is necessarily returned.

I have a question for #purrr and #rstats enthusiasts. For which use cases do you normally use the walk family of functions in purrr? (walk, walk2, and pwalk)
