@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV I like how that's your first thought, its the officiating was horrible in those tournaments throughout... not just for the ABs games. Did your dad tell you that also? Cause there's been zero facts. Did you know some money passed through a few accounts from a SA official to a ref?
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV Controversial because New Zealand didn't win?
The 2011 RWC Final was the worst officiated world cup final since 1966. Just the facts.
No other final has had so many ref errors
English

@scrumming_ten I mean your 2007 and 2019 ones are safe you beat England in the finals everyone cheered you guys on. 1995 is a discussion for the ages but, its happened its in the past. 2023 could be a discussion but ehhh.
English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV He didn't funnily, the red card was justified btw. the pres of NZ rugby elected in 09, made the bid to the rugby NZ board to help strengthen Ref coaching throughout NZ. Do some research seriously. If you wanna look at controversial world cups, 2023, 2007, 1995 are right there...
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV Bryce Lawrence must have recommended Craig Joubert...
English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV Oh absolutely, he was one of the best in that time, again do some research the offer had gone back and forth from 2009
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV Would New Zealand have offered Craig Joubert a job as a referee coach if France won the 2011 RWC?
English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV Refs have been inconsistent since the beginning, he relocated to NZ as he was offered a job as a referee coach, if you actually put some research work in and provide some actual credible records. That took a quick Google search btw.
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV The 2011 Rugby World Cup final was littered with forgotten French penalties.
It's not my fault, Craig Joubert lives in New Zealand
English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV Considering all your replies show as "probable spam" your source really is trust me bro isn't it? Wouldn't be the first "conspiracy" of any world cup. In all seriousness get some solid evidence instead of "trust me bro my dad works at Microsoft"
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV I even heard Moroccan banks were used during the 2011 RWC, to hide transactions...
English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV So basically your implying shit rumors? Let me guess your proof is trust me bro? Like they would be better off because they got to ref in a world cup, thats a small amd rare opportunity for many refs...

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV Let's just say Bryce Lawrence and Craig Joubert received great benefits after the 2011 RWC

English

@RugbyPlot @FrontRowRugbyXV Sorry but what's the hate on the 2011 world cup all of a sudden? Im out if the loop on "rumors"
English

@Data_nz @FrontRowRugbyXV We can expect more honesty from South American hosts, than the New Zealand hosts of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
English

@NZNationalParty Typical National government before an election, shift all blame and take no accountability.
English

@FrontRowRugbyXV Thats fair, I believe the first win in NZ since was it 1998? Fun fact that Japan VS SA match was on my birthday 🤣
English

@FrontRowRugbyXV That was a good game, I believe it was Ricky Januarie, who scored the game winner for SA
English

@Data_nz I remember watching that and thinking even though we lost, that was an incredible match!
Only won there once.
On my birthday in 2008 as it turns out!
English

@FrontRowRugbyXV I can understand that, But I also agree with your Dunedin test choice. The Carisbrook was a phenomenal stadium for atmosphere, honestly I miss that stadium and I'm glad I got to watch a few good matches in there.
English

@Data_nz I don't dispute it was outstanding stuff from the Japanese.
But I can't watch it.
English

@Zilch0284 @Peel1659 Correct,I forgot about that 🤣 as Fiji had an absolute generational run in that world cup. With it being home for the aussies in 2027 and some phenomenal players coming up through for them they're looking to be in a solid spot for 2027
English

@Data_nz I don't do mornings but I often woke up to watch those 4am kick offs.
Even recall one Sunday morning in 2000, watching the Stormers beat the Blues, then went for an 8km run and then church with the family.
What a start to a Sunday that was!
English

@FrontRowRugbyXV Oh super 12 was a great start point for it all, and I remember some very early starts to watch the games played in SA.
English

@Data_nz Maybe it's because of its novelty and the excitement that naturally comes to a high school/university student but my favourite era was the Super 12 era.
