@Lexorcyst And this precisely why Freddy doesn’t need a comeback film. Freddy needs a show with multiple seasons. He’s too iconic and has waaayyy too many victims to be compacted into 1 film. Every episode it should be at least 2-3 Elm Teens getting Freddied

The opening is a masterclass in setting tone and atmosphere for the rest of the film. Freddy's omnipresence, the way the diegetic sounds mingle with the score, the eeriness of it all. One of my favorite openings in all of horror.
