My mother has a part time job to keep from going insane, she tells me. Yesterday she informs me she is going to ask for a raise. She's so cute. Me: "OK I will help you prepare. What do you bring to the table to deserve the raise?" I ask. Her: "Me. What do I bring to the table? What kind of question is that?" 🙄 Me: "🤣 Yes, but you need to be more specific when asking so the boss knows giving you the raise is warranted. Did you do any special projects? Anything you want to highlight?" Her: "Yes, I have excellent attendance and I get the customers to spend more money and part of that extra cash he should give me." Me: (I'm trying not to laugh again) "Okay focus on your work ethic, how punctual you are, attentive. How you CARE about the customers and want them to get the best bang for their buck." Her: "I'm not going to write him a whole book on why he should give me a raise, Tara. I'm not you, doing market research to find the exact salary I should be making down to the penny, I'm just gonna say "Hey! I need more money, how do we make that happen?!" ROFLMAO Watch, he gives her two bucks more an hour just so she stops getting her Sicilian up on him. This is going to be hilarious.
