Figures that the vast majority of strikers will never get close to. And yet he remains one of the most written-off and underappreciated players of his generation. A man who has devoted everything to club and country, never once put a foot wrong off the pitch, and embodies every quality you could want from a professional footballer. I remember when everybody still had a landline. Now, kids are born into households who've never used, or even seen one. Allegedly, as of 2024, less than half (47%) of British homes have a landline, which a dramatic drop from 84% a decade ago. Ironically, despite being "better" connected, we're now more out of touch than ever.
