@TheKJA Sad to see him go. His work on Hyperion was amazing.

Dan Simmons was an incomparably talented author in both science fiction, horror, and historical. Works like Hyperion, Carrion Comfort, and Summer of Night are amazing. Alas, though he was a Colorado author, he had very little contact with the rest of the writing community here.

My dear friend & incomparable author Dan Simmons died Saturday from a stroke at age 77. He defied literary norms, exploring historical fiction, horror, crime & other genres. His must-read titles include THE SONG OF KALI & HYPERION. He was one of a kind. dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/lon…

Grrr. I followed @DavidGaughran @DaveChesson advice and spent ages selecting 10 categories, emailed @AmazonKDP but they said I was only allowed to choose the 3 on the dashboard. Have the rules changed? It’s very confusing.

@JeffMariotte Have you contacted support. And if you have and it’s been more than 12 hours, then be sure to check your spam since their responses can sometimes go there.

@DaveChesson Can anybody tell me what's going on with Atticus? I have a book that's been funded, designed, and people are waiting for, but I can't do anything. I need to be able to output my final version. Thanks.

@TheCriticalDri2 When I review movies, I like to give two scores: Critical Score and Rewatchability. This movie I give a good critical score minus the cringey Vader puns, and a low rewatchability.

@oldhack99 Okay. I guess dragging and dropping the word file in Atticus is too many steps for you? You do know you can drag and drop multiple word files into a book at any time - in case you’re one of those chapter per dock peeps.

Be very careful. I bought Atticus. It used to work. They changed the functionality in a release - a function I use, and refuse to put it back. @DaveChesson please take note.

@oldhack99 Also, no they weren’t told to not use Word. They were probably told not to copy and paste.

@DaveChesson Copying a chapter from Word to Atticus. This used to work. Now, spaces are removed and words are jammed together, apparently at random. Try it. Used to work. Another indie author complained and was told not to use Word.

@oldhack99 And like all the warnings say, just drag and drop your word doc in Atticus. Fixes all of that. Problem solved.
