This article is a breath of fresh air to Me. My goal is to write books that are fun. That inject whimsy and wonder into the world, but... threads.net/t/Cu7VRaeL7DZ/…

I completely revamped my writing process to better fit my life of chaos and kids, so I figure why not update my profile picture. The full picture includes a giant stuffed monkey and various piles of legos. Here I am.

I constantly have to remind myself that this is why I write. I want to leave the world more joyful than I got it. Happy birthday, Kiki. Go girl, go.

There's a line in Kiki that goes "Kiki writes because she wants to bring joy to her world. Joy that comes from traveling to moon-crater cities. Meeting doorknob-stealing gerblins, and hanging out with adventurous otters."

Book releases are always a strange beast because you spend so much time prepping and preparing and then the day just...comes. Like a normal day. The kids still tell you they actually wanted oatmeal instead of eggs right after you finish making oatmeal. You still go to work.
